Beautifully restored Lunenburg cape home on a sheltered cove with beach
- english, italian, Some French
Having lived in England, the US, Italy and Switzerland as well as my native Toronto, I've come to roost in this wonderful part of the world. This is my home when I'm not renting it out and heading off to explore somewhere else.
Shelagh purchased this House in 2015
Why Shelagh chose LaHave
After 5 years of casually looking at homes in the area thinking I might move someday, I walked in the door and fell in love.
What makes this House unique
Looking out on to the ever-changing ocean each day is an experience unlike any other living I've done, and I've had a lot of different living situations. This is my 23rd home in my adult life, and I love it more than any other. Yes, even Italy.

Cosy cottage with a stunning location
This beautifully restored cottage was a treat to stay in. It is nestled on top of a hill overlooking a small bay, and the LaHave islands further in the distance. The cottage has a very personal feel, and the decor inside certainly reflects its owners' tastes and life experiences.
It's so much more interesting than a typical rental unit!
Shelagh was a helpful host who took the time to make recommendations for local activities and dining options. We loved our experience and would highly recommend this place!
Central to the best of the South Shore: the LaHave Bakery, West Dublin farmer's market, Crescent and Risser's beach, the cable ferry to Lunenburg (a total trip of about 20 minutes). Or you can hike a beautiful trail and kayak some of the best waters on the shore, right from the property. Also close to The Ploughman’s Lunch, and West Dublin Hall where many wonderful musical events take place as well as the weekly farmer’s market.
