Why Beth Moskow-Schnoll chose Romulus
This has been our family cottage since 2004. Our children grew up coming here with us every summer. This is where they learned to waterski and wakeboard, and we have the most wonderful memories of our summers here. So much so that when we bought a year round home just down the road, we couldn't bear to sell this cottage, especially because we knew others would enjoy it as much as we have all these years. We live in Wilmington, Delaware, but drive up every weekend in the summer because there is no other place we'd rather be.
What makes this Cottage unique
One of the nicest lake frontages with a walk in beach. Comfortable chairs on the dock to enjoy the sunrise, moonrise and the fabulous array of stars. And a great fire pit for campfires. Make sure you bring some marshmallows - we'll supply the skewers.

Great cottage right on the lake!
We had a great stay on Cayuga Lake in this lovely cottage. The host was wonderful about everything. The cottage was clean and equipped with everything we needed. Will definitely recommend it to everyone.
Beautiful lakefront setting
We did not enjoy the property as much as we hoped. The house had many many spiders, some of which we found crawling on the beds. Although I am unsure if the water problem is temporary not having drinkable water was inconvenient. In addition, the property not very clean. The room overlooking the lake was all windows lakeside but they were very dirty.
The owners are wonderful - very easy to talk to and very responsive whenever we had a question. The cottage is very clean and cozy. The water was beautiful for swimming and wading - especially for young kids. The location was very nice - easy walk to a winery and the beer garden. Listening to the water at night was one of our favorite perks of this cottage!
Home on Lake Cayuga
The small cottage was acceptable, great view, dock and lift, great deck area. Family room and kitchen were good. We did not have water for 3 days, this was an issue we were not expecting. The cottage does not have A/C and we understand most places in this region do not have a/c but the weather was 95 for 2 days when we were there and it would have been nice to have a wall unit in the bedroom.Usually place we stay in the past have towels, this place did not come with any towels. Out of all the places we have stayed this was the worst. We still enjoyed our vacation but the accommodation could have been better.
We are confused about the comment that there was no water for 3 days. We ask that our guests inform us immediately if there is any problem, no matter how small. Once we were informed that there was an issue with the water, we fixed it within an hour. We pride ourselves on our quick response time. Regarding the comment about no air conditioning, the listing explains that there is no air conditioning. The same is true regarding towels - the listing states that we provide bed linens but not towels. Our goal is to provide a wonderful experience. We are sorry if that did not happen here.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed, and was clean and nicely decorated. The living and dining spaces were large. The shoreline and swimming area was perfect for our grandsons. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises from the deck each morning, and the sound of the waves hitting the shoreline each evening.
The owners were very nice and accommodating. We would definitely rent this cottage again.
