Overview

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Our beautiful one bedroom condo at Hale Kamaole in Kihei is comfortable and spacious at 850 square feet, and can accommodate two adults in the king sized bed (new mattress in 2015) and two others on the pull out couch in the living room.

Our recent full renovation makes this condo feel like a brand new unit. It’s on the ground floor unit, so we walk directly out onto open, landscaped grounds - and within no more than 2 minutes walk from our unit (literally) you are at the beach - the first of the three Kamaole beaches that are a great walk during the day and wonderful for swimming and snorkeling. The complex itself has two swimming pools, one tennis court (free), and open barbeque areas where guests often gather to cook and socialize in the evenings. It’s a truly magical place where families, newly-weds and friends come for vacations.

Guests at our unit are provided with everything they need for a great vacation. We provide bath and beach towels of course, but we also have a lanai (balcony) closet full of beach supplies: chairs, umbrella, boogie boards, cooler, sand toys, snorkeling equipment, even a skim board!

Kihei is on the southern side of Maui, on the slopes of Haleakala, and is without question the sunniest part of the island. Hale Kamaole is located at the southern-most end of Kihei - pretty much the last complex in Kihei before reaching the resort community of Wailea. In fact, there’s a lovely ocean path directly across from Hale Kamaole to walk to Wailea – driving, it’s about 5 minutes. There’s so much to do on Maui - sightseeing, snorkeling, surfing, golf, fishing, sailing, hiking, windsurfing, shopping – or nothing at all. If you want to do it all there’s an activities desk at the complex that will help you arrange any trips or outings you want. If you want to do nothing but hang out on the beach you can do that at Hale Kamaole, and then you won’t even need a car. Once you get here from the airport the beach, shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance, if that’s your preference. Maui no ka oi!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Hi Katherine: Maui was wonderful! We loved your condo. We returned late last night from Oahu, which was fun also. However, we all agreed that your condo was far better than a hotel on Waikiki. The kids loved the pool and running out to it anytime and everyone was so friendly and helpful. Everything was terrific and we will definitely recommend your place. Mahalo and our best to you and your family— Beth

December 2016 Maui Visit

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Hale Kameole 109 for the month of December 2016. This is a first floor one bedroom condo in a complex of about 172 units - 2-3 floors. It includes a lanai that opens toward the ocean onto a grassy area near the lower pool and office. A partial view of the ocean and the setting sun is visible from one side of the lanai.

The furnishings were attractive and comfortable. The bed (king size) was very comfortable. We did not use the pull out sofa for sleeping. Linens were plentiful and of very good quality.

The kitchen was well-stocked with good quality cooking utensils, adequate dishes and plenty of glassware. Appliances included a blender, toaster, coffeemaker. Also stocked with dishwashing and dishwasher soap. All appliances were in goo working order.

There was adequate storage space for our clothes and most of the suitcases. We did so some cleaning during our month-long stay and vacuum cleaner, etc. were in good working order.

The condo was spotless on our arrival, The late checkin procedures worked well and there was a generous basket of goodies for our enjoyment.

We loved our stay here and are anxious to return! We only wish we had stayed 2 months!

Best trip ever!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 weeks at this unit in Hale Kamaole and could not have been happier. The beach at this condo was beautiful. We enjoyed walking on the beach path, which starts right at this condo all the way down the beach to the hotels in Waimea. It was a great morning walk, but left us happier to be staying at a condo rather than any of the expensive hotels. They were crowded and full of families and you were still able to go to the beaches there if you wanted to. This condo was clean and updated and full of any and all equipment that you could need for any excursion on Maui. We did many adventures and were able to use the snorkel gear, beach chairs and umbrellas, coolers, water shoes and much more! The owners are so incredibly nice and helpful and sent us tons of information ahead of time to help make our vacation the best it could be! The beach tends to get very windy in the afternoon so we were able to come back and use the pool at the condo every afternoon while also using our lanai for some drinks, which we were able to buy for a much cheaper price than at all of the restaurants! The kitchen in our condo was also great and we were able to keep some food for breakfast and lunch before our many hikes. We also spoke with an activities coordinator at the condo and did a boat cruise which was great. It was awesome to have a resource right at the condo instead of having to hunt activities down on our own. Wonderful community with BBQs if you want and tennis courts. Definitely stay in 109 as it was a very neat and updated rental! It was a vacation of a lifetime!!

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at Hale Kamaole! The condo was very comfortable with everything we needed. We especially liked the locker filled with boogie boards, lawn chairs, scuba equipment, water shoes etc. The lawn and pool area were super - great for kids and adults.

Great Property!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 2 weeks at this great complex in the middle of everything you need...restaurants, shops, and best of all 3 great beaches to choose from. The condo itself is spacious and clean. It's well stocked for almost any drink or meal and is comfortable to stay in. Close to the pool and step out from the lanai and watch the beautiful sunsets while the resident conch blowers gather to say goodbye to the sun. Very friendly place to stay! Mahalo for letting us share it.

Perfect Vacation Rental

  • 5 of 5

The condo itself is spacious, spotless and very comfortable - it is like a home away from home with fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, dishwasher, all the things you won't get staying in a pricey hotel. The pool is lovely, clean and very nearby. The beach is literally across the street, one of the best smaller beaches before you get down to Makena. There is a small cove and lots of shallows for kids to play. We found the condo complex very family friendly but there were older guests as well, so it was a good mix. All the great reviews are true, we had a wonderful vacation. One suggestion - stop by Costco near the airport and stock up on fish, meat, veggies to cook on the grills. We tried a lot of restaurants in Kihei and overall found the food pretty blah compared to what we could cook ourselves. Also the poke at Safeway (not on the main road, worth finding because they have everything) is so, so good!

Hale Kamaole Condo

  • 4 of 5

Aloha,

Thank you for sharing with us your lovely unit. Your condo is situated near the best beaches Maui has to offer. Kam III Beach is 100 steps or so away. It is nice to have direct access from your lanai to one of the two complex pools. With golfing, fine restaurants, shopping, and boating activities nearby, Hale Kamaole is idealy situated. For those who do not drive, the Maui Bus passes nearby. Over the years we have become regulars at Hale Kamaole and we feel it is safe to say that your unit is one of the best. We thoroughly enjoyed the upgraded bathroom and kitchen with the increased counter space. We felt very much at home.
