We returned to the Little Cabin to celebrate our anniversary. This is our third time to stay here, and it feels like home! Unfortunately, it was a short visit, but wonderful none the less. Cheryl is always so welcoming and friendly! We arrived Saturday afternoon. After settling in, we went to eat at Anglers Grill up the road. They have a multitude of TV's, and we were able to watch our football team win, and the Cubbies advance to the World Series at the same time! We loved sitting out on the deck in the morning. Cheryl left bird food, and we were able to observe as they ate their breakfast buffet. We also saw a few deer elegantly grazing among the beautiful canopy of trees. We spent a few hours shopping in Eureka Springs, after eating a scrumptious lunch at the Main Street Café. We thoroughly enjoyed some Italian food for dinner at Café Amore, and we highly recommend it! On our way home that evening, we spotted a fox and a raccoon. We took a relaxing soak in the Jacuzzi before drifting off to sleep in the comfy bed. We undoubtedly plan to return to this little sanctuary in the woods. God Bless you, Cheryl!!!!
This cabin was even better than we expected! Cheryl was a wonderful host. The fact that they accepted pets was the main reason we picked this cabin. The bonus was how cute and cozy it was. The trails were a favorite for both ourselves and our dogs. Originally we were going to stay two nights but decided to book 3 and we were so happy we did. It was hard to leave such a perfect setting. Hoping to go back in the summer when we can take advantage of the water.
Quite/secluded/nice people. There wasn't a moment we did not enjoy!
Enjoyed staying at the Little Cabin in the Woods on Beaver Lake. This was our first time to the area and we had been wanting to get away for a few days of rest and relaxation. Little did I know that when I planned the trip it coincided with the Bikes, Blue and BBQ days. There were groups of bikers everywhere...but I'm pleased to say that we didn't notice the crowds on this quiet little place on the lake. It was quiet and we slept about 12 hours each night, which we never, ever do!!! Definitely plan on coming back. Enjoyed the hiking and the scenery, the wildlife. Just a note, though, when hiking if in the summer or early fall...keep your eyes open for snakes. We did come across what looked like a timber rattler on one of our trips. And...be sure to use plenty of bug spray when hiking. We did some hiking around the Ozark National Forrest and somewhere along the way we picked up chiggers, which aren't so fun. Other than that, we want to come back late fall or early spring. So thoroughly enjoyed this property. I would highly recommend it. The owner added personal touches that made the cabin extra special. Personalized welcoming sign, as well as complimentary coffee, tea, chocolate, popcorn, granola bars.
My wife and I chose the "Little Cabin" to rekindle our fire of youth and that it is what happened! We had seclusion to the property trails and access to the beautiful Lake Beaver plus the support of the Host, Cheryl to help us get acquainted with the comforts of home. She also provided recommendations to places to eat and visit. We agree with every recommendation as something to do there. We had a great time and will definitely be back, as well as recommend it to everyone we know.
Loved the cabin and the lake.
Saw several deer, a bunny and a lot of squirrels
Beautiful view from the dock.
Pretty good fishing too, I recommend using worms.
The cabin is located on Beaver Lake which is well-known for Striper fishing and clear-water Scuba Diving. It is only 10 minutes away from the White River for trout fishing and canoe trips. The historic Blue Springs Heritage Center where the Trail of Tears crossed through is a short drive away...and be sure to watch for eagles during our winter season.
