The Southside Loft is a deluxe loft residence located in a fully renovated, 108-year old all-brick building in the heart of Chattanooga's Southside Historic District. The Church On Main is right next door and Chattanooga's most popular restaurants and hottest night spots are within easy walking distance. This building is now over 100 years old and gracefully reflects its age through its general architecture, its aged wooden stairwell, and the unique look and feel of the interior spaces that can only be achieved through exposed brick walls that have withstood the test of time. Like many of the older structures across the Chattanooga landscape, this building had a vibrant history followed by a period of limited use. Fortunately, a developer with a vision purchased the building approximately eight years ago, gutted the entire structure, and rebuilt the building to include business spaces on the main floor and a limited number of modern, loft-style condominiums on the upper two floors. My wife and I recently fell in love with the unique character of this building, we purchased this unit (#2-A), and we have totally refinished and refurnished this space into a uniquely casual and extremely comfortable loft that we are proud to make available to those Chattanooga visitors who want something more spacious and more deluxe than a bland hotel room to call home throughout their visit.
This unit is one flight up from abundant street level parking and the building's original stairwell is located inside the front entrance. Eight large, over-sized windows allow plenty of day-light into the unit. Also, all of these windows include window shades and screens so they can be opened as desired to let in fresh air. Also, the entire loft is heated and air-conditioned using modern, energy-efficient heat-pump technology. The interior temperature is controlled by the guest and there are three individual 3-speed ceiling fans located throughout the unit.
As you can see in the accompanying photos, the living room's focus is casual comfort. The living room includes a new 49-inch flat-screen Smart LED television with a total of 89-channels available for your viewing pleasure (including a number of popular sports channels). Additionally, the unit is equipped with EPB's renown high-speed Internet service.
Once you come inside the front door you'll find that the entire loft is located on a single floor. The overall space includes a comfortable living room with a sofa, abundant seating, and a twin-size day-bed with a deluxe pillow-top mattress plus superior quality linens and pillows. This day-bed can be used for sleeping at night and/or for chillin' in style during the day. The dining area includes a glass-top dinner table with seating for 4-6 people. The breakfast bar area includes seating for up to 4 additional people. The kitchen is a fully equipped and fully stocked. The master bedroom offers a deluxe queen-size Murmaid pillow-top mattress with superior quality linens and pillows, a desk area, and a unique, semi-private "Nest" that includes an additional twin-size day-bed with a deluxe pillow-top mattress. Bedroom #2 also includes a deluxe queen-size Murmaid pillow-top mattress with superior quality linens and pillows. The bathroom includes a combination tub/shower with a wall-mounted grab-bar for your safety, a large vanity area, and a hair dryer. The laundry area includes a washer & dryer plus a steam iron and ironing board.
We use digital keypads for your security and to make your arrival and departure as easy as possible. No keys are required. Guests need two separate door access codes to gain entry into the Loft. ACCESS CODE #1 - BUILDING ENTRANCE: The building's front door and rear door both use the same 5-digit door access code. The front door opens onto a stairway leading up to the 2nd and 3rd floors. The rear door opens to elevator service. ACCESS CODE #2 - LOFT ENTRANCE: This 4-digit door access code provides entry into the private Loft area (Unit #2-A). The access code that you receive will be unique to you and your reservation. NOTIFICATION PROCEDURE: On your day of arrival we will notify you via a text message and/or email as soon as the Loft is ready for occupancy. At the same time we will provide you with the two door access codes required for entry into the building and entry into the Loft.
