Centrally located, immaculate 1-bedroom apartment beautifully furnished in contemporary style. Enjoy your own quiet, well-equipped vacation suite in one of Vancouver’s liveliest neighbourhoods. The apartment has its own private entrance and a private, lush, garden patio.
Ideally situated so it is easy to get around. A terrific alternative to the tower blocks of downtown but great proximity to all locations by car, Skytrain or bus. Less than 15 minutes to the tourist spots.

Located just steps to funky shops and fine restaurants on ‘The Drive’ (Commercial Drive). Stay in a vibrant, family-friendly neighbourhood with bakeries, coffee shops, delis, live music, grocery stores, two parks, unique boutiques, yoga studios, community centre with pool and library, local festivals and events…all within four blocks of the apartment. Nearby are dozens of restaurants (vegetarian, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Lebanese, Caribbean, Vietnamese, Greek, Chinese, Ethiopian, Cuban, fusion, Thai).
The Drive is a great place for anyone who wants to experience Vancouver culture.
By staying here you get to experience Vancouver like the local folks with the advantage of being easy to get around to all the tourist sights on public transit. The Drive (Commercial Drive) is a funky, family friendly neighbourhood with a 19 different types of ethnic restaurants and 22 coffee shops. There are great parks just two blocks away, and live music and theatre close by.
The garden suite was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location was perfect for all of our Vancouver needs. Kris was a very accommodating hostess. Heartily recomend this property. Because I was helping out at my sons I particularly loved the variety of food markets and shops on the drive...I could buy all of my ingredients on the way to his place. It is a very walkable area. We really liked Cafe Deux Soliel for its inexpensive vegetarian food and for the fact that it was small kid friendly.
The flat was very comfortable with everything that we needed. The owner was very helpful and full of suggestions for places to eat and visit. The flat is situation just off Commercial Drive which has a great selection of restaurants, cafes and shops.

We loved this little apartment! You enter the side gate through a lush garden, follow the sidewalk to the back apartment where another lush patio garden awaits you. The bed was comfortable, the place was spotless, and the owner thought of everything - right down to an umbrella in the closet! The kitchen was very well-stocked; we wanted for nothing. We enjoyed drinking coffee and eating breakfast on the back patio amongst the flowers. We also enjoyed being less than a block away from a bus stop for the 20 Bus (Commercial Avenue), which meant we were able to get around Vancouver by public transit. We didn't need a car at all! Lots of great food on Commercial Street - coffee bars galore, and yummy food (we had wonderful dinners at the Absinthe Cafe and Fet's Whiskey Bar - just 2 blocks away). The inevitable challenges arose, but Mary (who was helping the owner out while she was away on vacation) was incredibly quick to respond. We would rent this place again in a heartbeat.
We loved this apartment....perfect for visiting family 1/2 hour walk away. The apartment has everything, full kitchen, microwave, 3 coffee makers, toaster....everything! Books, music, movies....closet full of extra chairs, heater, iron & board, umbrellas, clothes drying rack, first aid kit, even shopping bags. We only stayed 6 days, but you could stay there long term and be comfortable. Its proximity to Commercial Drive made it a popular place for our family to visit US....restaurants, shops....THE place to be. You can believe that what is advertised and shown in the photos are absolutely true. Thanks, Linda!
I was able to spend a week this summer with my brother and mother and I must say the pictures do the apartment justice. Linda was a great host. Not only was she very cordial and prompt with my rental inquiry, she was informative on rental travels and greeted me as soon as I arrived with detailed directions. You can't beat the price on this apartment, worth every penny and more. The pictures do this apartment justice and it is less than a block away from a trendy Commercial Drive. There are many shops, grocery stores, and restaurants around that make a walk on "The Drive" an adventure itself. As close as we were too so much foot traffic, I am happy to say we were able to enjoy our privacy and no noise throughout our stay, even with the Italian Day Festival going on. The home is well equipped with a coffee maker, cooking utensils, and my favorite was the on demand selection Linda has on her TV. The recommendations Linda provides are a must do if your in town for a while. In all, I am extremely happy to have stayed here at the Urban Garden Apartment and hope to be able to stay here on my next trip.
The property is easy to find from the instructions by Linda and is located a few steps off of Commercial Drive. When we first booked this property we weren't too sure what to expect but it exceeded our expectations in every way. Linda is a great help and everything is as the listing says.
We stayed here for a month and it has everything you need and then some. For the price it can't be beat!
We wish we could rent this property long term, that's how great it is.
