Very sweet spot and comfortable
My children loved staying in Eden. It was the same distance to Smugglers Notch and Jay so they got to snowboard at both mountains! Will return next winter for sure. Julie was very responsive.
We would love to have you and your family again for guests. Thank you for leaving it in great condition!
Booked this charming lakeside cabin with two other couples and our shiba inu for the president's day weekend. With a location only 30 minutes from both Stowe and Jay Peak, we were able to ride each mountain without any problems. A few issues arose with the house not being 100% ready for us when we arrived. A water pipe had burst a couple weeks prior and the construction crew left quite a mess for us to clean ourselves. This would normally ruin most weekends, but having great hosts like Pete and Julie that were willing to rectify the situation is exactly what makes the home sharing economy work. They were easy to get in touch with and once they heard about the situation, they apologized and refunded a good portion back to us. The level of care they put into making sure their guests are happy with their stay is what will have me coming back.
Enjoyed ! Beautiful Location
Well equipped house with most things anyone would need, and grilling and campfire supplies, boating equipment etc.Lake views, few steps to lake, good privacy. Bathroom on each of three levels was convenient.
Good treasure hunting experience to find the hidden light/bulb switches ;)
One big trouble we had with the neighbor's dogs . We couldn't sit out peacefully as they were roaming around our house.
We are glad you enjoyed our home and appreciated it's charm! We deeply apologize for our neighbor's dog. No one else had informed us about this issue, and we appreciate any feedback so we can remedy the situation. Our neighbor has been called.Thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you and your party again.
Beautiful location. Loved the house.
We were so happy to find this beautiful home on the lakefront was just as promised, and the owners were great to interact with. The property was clean and well-maintained. Definitely recommend. Would be ideal for two families -- already planning to return with my brother and family sometime to share the house and the area with them.
Great Summer Getaway
My family vacationed at this beautiful Lake House in August 2011. Peter & Julie rented their home to us on such short notice and were very pleasant to deal with. The home is exactly as you see in the pictures. Far enough from attractions to enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake, but close enough to enjoy all the surrounding area has to offer. Best wishes to Peter & Julie on their home away from home.
Family Summer Vacation
Everything about our vacation here was fabulous!!!! Julie and Peter are so pleasant to deal with! The location is ideal, the place was clean and had everything you needed for a perfect stay. There was four adults and 3 children (aged 5, 9 and 2) in our party ... and every single one of us had an absolute blast. The swimming area was perfect for our 5 year old to learn to swim. Our only disappointment was that we did not book for a second week!!!! We would highly recommend this place for families with young children who are looking to get away from it all.
Rural, relaxing and romantic lake front location. Be as quiet as you want or as active as your body allows! Seasonal activities for the sports- minded or recreational athlete. It is only twenty miles, more or less, to 3 major ski areas and golfing. Shopping, antiquing, biking, arts and fine dining in nearby Stowe. Visit Ben and Jerry's for a factory tour, and sample one of their newest creations. Take a leisurely ride into Vermont's largest city, Burlington, for great food, shopping, festivals, Lake Champlain, the Echo Center, or see a minor league baseball game. The possibilities are endless!
