Fantastic for the family plenty of games etc at the house to keep everyone happy.
We may have told the kids a small fib when we mentioned there was no wifi. Our time was better for it and the kids interacted better. Plenty of bedding beds etc. Better than expected. Communication with owners was great
family 4 day long labor day weekend
We all have nothing but great reviews for this beautiful home.
Multiple families with and without kids, total 16 bodies.
The kitchen was great to cook in and actually plenty of room for helpers:-) Fully stocked for cooking, baking and serving.
Keurig coffee pods are a must as that is the set up in this kitchen.
We were away during the days exploring the area - Arnold Art and Wine festival - Moaning Caverns; caves, zip line and rock climbing - Big Trees State Park; picnicking, swim through caves, beautiful trees and great hiking - Alpine Lake; chilling at a quiet serene beach with swimming and kayaking.
When we were home there was plenty of room for all to be together or chill alone. Great game room downstairs and nice deck for star gazing at night.
What a treat, we will do this again!
Very clean and up to date
We had an enjoyable stay here, and were impressed with the facilities.
Thank you for your kind review. We look forward to having you & your group back for another visit.
We had a very big group of people that all fit comfortably in this very big cabin. The water was within walking distance. The kitchen was brand new without a single blemish and came fully stocked with pots and pans that came in handy when we forgot ours. The owner of the cabin was the best part they always responded quickly and were super nice.
Lovely Cabin, enjoyable stay, perfect for us!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Big Trees Base Camp cabin located in the Blue Lake Springs area. There is plenty of room for everyone, it has a lot of open space on all levels. The upstairs has 2 bedrooms, bathroom and a loft with 2 twins, with seating areas and overlooks the living room area. The main floor has one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining and living room area. The large windows give an open feeling. There are 2 dining room tables with enough seating for 16 people. The washer and dryer are also on this level.
The kitchen has plenty of counter space. The appliances, utensils, cooking accessories are plentiful and up to date. You do not need to bring anything, unless a specialty kitchen tool, all the basics are covered.
There is a lower level game room with a set of twin bunks/trundle. the temperature is much cooler on this level which is nice on hot days. There is a ping pong table that can be set up and some board games available. A futon couch is in the game room as well as in the living room.
We were greeted by deer as we drove up, a very nice and surprise welcome. The driveway is gravel, and a little steep, but we all learned to navigate it. There is plenty of parking. We parked 5 cars.
There is a horse shoe pit set up that was enjoyed in the early evenings.
The Cabin has a spacious wrap around deck with several tables, large gas BBQ grill and plenty of seating. It was my favorite feature. From drinking coffee watching the sun rise over the ridge, to looking at the moon and stars at night, it was my favorite place to be.
Fly in Lake is walking distance, although we drove due to carrying lake toys and supplies. It was about a 10 min walk for those who chose to do so.
This cabin has a very comfortable feel with cabin/mtn decor. The beds are comfortable, we felt at home. The towels and linens are provided, and of good quality. There are nice size dressers in the bedroom/loft area. The wifi connection was excellent which was important to my sister's business. Verizon had service, ATT did not.
We stayed June 28-July 2, temps to 88F. The upper level was warm, but cooled in the evenings. We just stayed out on the deck until the cooler temps arrived. The owners are accessible via text and responded promptly with any of my questions.
We loved this cabin so much that we would like to return next year for another stay.
Beautiful cabin in the woods
Beautiful cabin, clean, everything is in very good shape. Good wifi coverage, brand new bbq. The patio is large (we have eaten outside) and beautiful. The sleeping situation worked well for us, but we were 14 kids and 2 adults. There are 3 rooms with 2 beds each plus the game room downstairs with 5 beds. The other beds are outside of the rooms, two upstairs and a sofa bed in the living room. There is also a couch upstairs, but we didn't find it very comfortable so we did not use it. Overall we liked it a lot, would come back in a heartbeat.
Thank you for your the nice review, were glad you enjoyed your stay. We look forward to having you back.
