Great house, great location
Felt very homey and comfortable for our three families
Great location. We would enjoyed The Last Resort and would visit again.
Painful and Unhealthy
The house and location is great; unfortunately, the shortage of water caused our stay to be very painful and unhealthy. This was the 2nd time our family rented THE LAST RESORT. The 1st time in 2014, it was the best skiing experience our family ever had. This time it was very different.
We had been advised by the owner that showers should be taken as quickly as possible. We did follow his advise; however, after 3 quick showers, the water stopped, and didn't come back that evening. Also, after 1 toilet flush, the tank did not fill, leaving human waste to remain. Water trickled out of the house faucets.
The owner was contacted by phone and internet and he suggested using his tennis club for showering and relieving ourselves, but that was not acceptable when we were expecting running water and basic sanitary services.
I spoke with the owner after we returned to ask for a refund and what he was doing to make his house livable and sanitary for subsequent visitors. He promised a partial refund which he reneged on. Also, he said nothing was done or planned to be done because he went to the THE LAST RESORT and all worked well.
This is not true, and the Town of Warren should inspect his house, and shut it down until fixed!
An Angry Renter
Big ski house to handle a big family. Very close to the ski resort.
Michael was super nice and helpful. The instructions from himwas detailed with enough information for us to know how to handle the home. The house is big with everything we need to stay during the holidays. Plenty firwoord around. It is an old house uses electric heating. The home is very private and well maintained. A great ski house, about 3 minutes drive to sugarbush mountain resort. We will definitely come back again.
Plenty of room for 5 couples.
We were so happy to find a place to house our immediate family of 5 couples and Michael was very responsive from beginning to end. Gorgeous views. Lots of space for all of us in the common areas. The house is not new but was comfortable. Would rent again.
Perfect for multiple families
We had a great time. The home is in a beautiful spot. It accommodated three families and all of our activities from Parent's Weekend at Norwich University to College tours of UVM to Frisbee Tournament in Dartmouth. We enjoyed the main area with the fireplace each night as a communal place to gather and share our adventures. The house was fully equipped with everything needed for the stay and the instructions were specific and easy to follow. We will return.

Mad River Glen is one of the most unique ski areas in the country, famous for its legendary expert terrain, beautiful and varied beginner and intermediate trails, and, of course, the nation's last surviving single chairlift. The extensive trail system follows the contours of General Stark mountain to a single base area, making it easy for families and friends to ski together.
