I wish we could have extended our stay

  • 5 of 5

The house and ease of access to the beach is as advertised. What I found exceptional were the responsiveness of Mark and Becky when we called for assistance. Most of our requests were minor (we needed more towels and the coffee maker wasn't functional) but the last one made me very glad I had taken out the 'breakage' insurance offered by VRBO. I don't know how it happened (there were several smaller children in our group) but one of the toilets developed a crack in the tank and was leaking water onto the floor. We called Mark and Becky about the problem the morning we discovered it and by the time we returned to the house later that afternoon, the toilet had been replaced. I wish I could get that kind of service at home! I recommend both the insurance policy and Mark and Becky's rental. Dotti Roy

ANNUAL REUNION

  • 5 of 5

We are so pleased with our decision to pick this wonderful and spacious house. It is so large to accommodate 17 adults celebrating their 43rd annual college class reunion. This is the perfect house for a large group even with children.

Our group totally enjoyed the eight days we spent there and took advantage of the nearby beach, with daily early morning beach walks and dips into the welcoming Pacific Ocean, followed by a rinsing swim in the pool. The reunion was a success and very memorable.

It is accessible to major freeways and thoroughfares, making our island tour and commute a lot easier and more enjoyable. Additionally, MCAS Kaneohe, is but a five minute drive allowing us access to base facilities including the exchange and commissary.

Lastly, MAHALO to Becky for taking care of our needs (big and small) and providing us information about Kailua and its environs.

Great for family renuion

  • 5 of 5

This house was great for our family reunion. there were 19 of us age 1 year to 79 years old. Everyone had a private area and the big house gathering room was really nice. Becky was available for any questions we had and she is so very nice. We had a great time here, it is in a fantastic location. There is not air conditioning in every room but that is in the description. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a large house.

Visit to paradise

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing! Becky accommodated our extended family of 14, including 3 kids, and made our stay immensely enjoyable. The pool was perfect when we needed a break from sandy beaches. Becky made herself available for questions we had and was a pleasure to be in business with. We will definitely be back.

Perfect for our trip - 13 guests

  • 5 of 5

The house was great - it fit our large party very nicely. The pool was beautiful too. Plenty of seating, bedrooms, etc. Plenty of parking. Kailua Beach was 3 blocks away and one of the nicest beaches we have ever visited, so of course we went there every day.

Becky was very attentive and took care of a few small issues for us very quickly. I would absolutely recommend this property for anyone in need of a vacation house.

Relaxingly Perfect

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family! We decided to get married in Oahu and wanted a house that would keep the majority of our family. this house gave us plenty of space when anyone needed down time and relaxation and great common space for groups to socialize and enjoy each other. The house was extremely kid friendly with a baby gates were available to corral the little ones in. The pool was perfect and the kitchen great for cooking large meals. The beach is so close with plenty of space and beautiful views. All in all, this house was a perfect fit for us and we can't wait to go back! Becky is great to work with and so friendly! Thank you!

Guestbook comments from the owner

If you want the “real” Hawaii and not the Orange County version of Hawaii, stay out

of Waikiki or one of the other fancy resorts and go to Kailua/Lanikai. We stayed at a

beautiful estate house called “Paradise-found Retreat” (http://kailua-hawaii-vacation-

rental-home.com/ ) in Kailua just a couple blocks from the beach. The location was great

and the house is absolutely splendid. It has such an open island feel and the amenities are

top notch and the house is in wonderful condition with big rooms and comfortable beds.

The owners are wonderful easy going people.

We lucked out even more because the owners happened to be there at the time. One may think that having the owners there would make it stressful, but not the case here. Becky is so friendly and helpful. Her children played with our children, and it was just very laid back and cool. She left us alone to do our

own thing – we probably just didn’t leave them alone enough. If you want to know about

anything on Oahu ask Becky. She knows all the hikes and places to go, things to see.

Like having a personal guide book right there with you.

Kailua has great restaurants (Buzz’s, Pinky’s to name just two) and a couple pretty cool

pubs. It has a great small town feel, but everything you would need is just minutes away.

Try a great coffee shop called “Muddy Waters” next to Safeway. But most of all the

area has one of the best beaches in the world and just steps away from the house. Words

can’t describe the color and beauty of the turquoise ocean and surrounding beaches. We

also experienced the Lagoons at Ko Olina, the North Shore and Waikiki, but we ended up

coming back to Kailua for the best beach experience. The water temperature is perfect.

It is quite easy and inexpensive to rent kayaks or snorkels and boogey boards. I didn’t try

the wind surfing or kite surfing, but will next time as Kailua is the capital of the world for

those things.

Overall I give the experience there a 10 out of 10. You won’t be disappointed staying at

Paradise-found Retreat.
