About Tina Rootes-Hunter
We are so excited to share our dream home, to be our retirement home. We currently live in Massachusetts on the Connecticut border. We have been in love with Maine for a long time so were happy to buy our dream home, with some of our elbow grease it is now what you see and hopefully will enjoy as much as we do.

The house was amazing and spacious. We loved our stay there. Will definitely look for this one again next time we are visiting Acadia
Fantastic house for family to stay in
Loved everything. Endless supply of wild blueberries was a bonus 😁
Clean, cozy house - really 3 and a half stars!
The property and home was nice and adequate for our 8 people. We were disappointed that there was no air conditioning - especially since it was unseasonably hot on the day we arrived. The first night was not comfortable and we lost sleep due to the extreme heat and one room didn't have a fan. Two of the upstairs beds were very uncomfortable - quite hard and the waterproof pad on one made it very hot to sleep on. We had to keep switching beds to find comfort. The kitchen could use a few more items - and this might improve as time goes by. We ran out of hot water at the kitchen sink if someone was using the shower or toilet. The great room was quite nice and the whole place was very clean. The futon in the great room was comfortable. Just for other guests - we had poor reception for cell phones and internet - which is to be expected in this area, I guess. The second two nights were cooler and more comfortable and we appreciated having local historical reading available - even more would be nice as you add to your collection! To get to Acadia was actually longer than 45 minutes as your information said. It took us at least an hour to get to the edge. We did enjoy your home and the Maine area and some of us enjoyed all the local art galleries and restaurants.
Thank you for the feedback. We are glad that you had a good visit overall. We hope to provide a clean and comfortable home like environment. Sorry that it was unseasonably hot, we have said that there is no a/c, we found using the fans to move the air always made it pleasant enough.
The distance to Acadia certainly can vary, especially during peak season.
We do hope you would stay with us again if you were in the area.
We had a lovely stay in this charming house.
Great space, awesome fenced in back yard and lots of elbow room for a family of five. A solid hour to Acadia, close to Blue hill and Ellsworth. Only thirty minutes to Stonington where we took the boat to Isle au Haut (magnificent). Town of Brooklin very sweet.
The only down side was no A.C. as it was a bit warm in the upstairs bedrooms. Overall a place we would most definitely come back to.
