About Linda

After many hectic years in the Twin Cities, moved 'Up North' to enjoy a more laidback lifestyle. Nothing seems quite as urgent when you are on the water.

Linda purchased this house in 1995

Why Linda chose Central

We built two homes on this peninsula in the mid-1990s. My husband and I live in one of the homes. Friends and family stay in the cabin when they visit (it's actually a year-round home - we just call it 'the cabin'). We hadn't made use of the cabin as much as we once did, so in 2007 we decided to open up our cabin as a vacation home rental.

What makes this house unique

I love summer nights that are just the right temperature to leave the windows open, and then listen to the loons call to each other in the morning. There is no better way to wake up.

Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Had a blast out on the boat and playing in the water. 1 toddler, 2 babies, + 6 adults. Hard to say which of us had the most fun! Thanks for a great time!

Great time with the family!

  • 5 of 5

So nice to fish, play in the water, pontoon, paddle boat, play yard games with a beautiful view, and sit around the huge campfires. It was so great to fit all of us in one comfy lake home. What a great time! The only drawback was that time went too quickly!

Great Fishing

  • 5 of 5

We had fun. I caught a huge fish, a whopping 13 pounds right off the dock. Highlight of the trip.

Our time here was fun - the house was very roomy and accommodated our 2 families nicely. Centrally located to all activities, it was easy to find our way around.

Best Vacation We've Had!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week of the 4th of July. We've stayed at many VRBOs and this is by far the best! We had 4 adults and 4 children and never felt crowded. The cabin is stocked with everything you need and the setup is great!

We LOVED the beach and the outdoor space. The kids swam from after breakfast until dinner. We enjoyed the patio and fire pit every night.

The owners are fabulous! Very helpful when we needed anything!

THANK YOU! We had a blast and plan to come back every year.

Great time, great fishing!

  • 5 of 5

A nice, relaxing week at the lake. Lots of fish in the water, lots of fun in the cabin. Can't think of anything that was missing. What a well-stocked kitchen! Plenty of room for our crew of 10, with 8 beds to choose from, twin to queen. My elderly parents especially appreciated the walk-in shower upstairs. Love the big boat house to store things, and paddleboat rides with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Loved our vacation!
