The Grice-Fearing House B&B is an historic home (ca. 1798) in downtown Elizabeth City, close to the waterfront. Walk to shops and restaurants, too. We offer two suites: a king suite with a bedroom, separate sitting room, and ensuite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi whirlpool tub. Our queen suite has a queen bed in the bedroom, separate sitting room, and also an ensuite bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi whirlpool tub. Guests also have use of the parlor, library, sunroom, two porches (one with a swing) and a balcony, as well as the brick patio with koi pond. Breakfasts are all homemade, multi-course, and are served in the formal dining room, with china, silver, and Waterford crystal. High-speed wireless internet. Luxurious touches include: high thread count linens, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, CD players, ceiling fans, zoned heating and AC systems, bedtime sweet treats, and a welcome drink upon arrival. We have been in business for almost 11 years, and love hosting guests at our B&B! Either suite, same rate. Nightly price is for one suite, 2 people in each suite. If you book and our king suite is available, we will automatically book you there; if that one is booked, you'll be booked in the queen suite. Both have the same amenities.

About Georgene and Vidal Falcon
My husband and I retired from the Federal Government in Washington, DC, and relocated to Elizabeth City, NC. We bought the oldest house in the City, ca. 1798, and worked with a renowned architect to turn the historic house into a two-suite bed and breakfast. We love interacting with our many guests -- this is our 11th year in business as a B&B! We travel often, and love exotic trips (India, Patagonia, Iceland).
Georgene and Vidal Falcon purchased this Bed And Breakfast in 2004
Why Georgene and Vidal Falcon chose Elizabeth City

Super clean, comfortable, and great character
The property itself was wonderful, inviting, and incredibly clean. The hosts were fantastic in every way. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful yet relaxed. They provided delicious evening snacks and also useful information about places to eat dinner. Breakfast was delicious! Vidal told us about this nearby blimp factory, which we visited and really enjoyed. A "secret" local treasure we would never have found without his help. An all around relaxing and fun experience. We hope to go back again!
Thank you for staying with us and thank you for such a glowing review! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and hosting you, and had a fun time talking with you both. Yvette and Peter were the perfect guests!
Outstanding place to stay.
Incredible place to stay! Clean, spacious, food and hospitality is great. It would make a great place for couples to spend a romantic get-a-way. I grew up in Elizabeth City and this was a trip down memory lane that included the sad task of conducting my Mother’s funeral. Staying here softened the grief. The owners are incredibly hospitable and made me feel quite welcomed. I remember playing in this house as a child when visiting a family friend. The owners have restored it beautifully to reflect its 18th century grandeur in which it was built. It’s the oldest house in Elizabeth City, standing as an elegant witness to much of the city’s history. What a treasure!
Thank you, Cynthia, for such a wonderful review of our B&B! We so enjoyed meeting you and having you stay with us, particularly since you had actually been here as a child! You were the perfect B&B guest! Georgene and Vidal Falcon, Grice-Fearing House B&B
