Nice flat, beautiful view
My family and me, we can highly recommend this flat. Its near the beach, just 10 min walking. The best time on the sun terrace which affords the best view, enjoy to choose the distance and observe the blue sea melting into the horizon. The Owner is a very kind person and contactable all the time.
I had a great time there with my family and all of us would come back again.
Thanks once more!
For those arriving in Liguria from the west, from France, and perhaps has the privilege of observing the coastal strip from the sea rather than from the mainland, is welcomed by the irresistible charm of nature and the testimonies of very remote times. To hit the traveler's imagination is the high rock wall called 'Balzi Rossi', in whose cavities precious finds have been found that have allowed us to reconstruct the past of our ancestors: one of the most important archaeological sites in the western Mediterranean. Continuing the journey towards the east, here is Capo Mortola, with the vast luxuriant surface of the Hanbury gardens, with specimens of rare plants. And then Ventimiglia, with the upper part, medieval, perched on the hill and defended by walls, and the modern city, lying on the plain on the ruins of the Roman Albium Intemelium, whose testimony is still visible in the well preserved remains of the Roman Theater. Active shopping center especially as regards the flowers, there are many testimonies of the first feudal and then municipal era: the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, for example, and the ancient church of San Michele, built in the century. XI, on a previous building of the VIII century .. The medieval city is perched around these sacred buildings, along narrow streets that once continued with the mule tracks that led to the pastures. In the modern part of Ventimiglia you can visit the Archaeological Museum, which collects excavated material found in the Roman area. In the highest part of the town, however, stood the Castle, the Cathedral and the Episcopal Palace. The urban structure of the old Ventimiglia is well preserved and is made up of groups of different houses, according to the eras of construction. Opposite the church of San Michele, near Porta Piemonte, is the 'Funtanin', a picturesque 16th century public fountain. It seems that what strikes most about Ventimiglia is above all the picturesque, typically Ligurian atmosphere of the town, with cobbled alleys, stairways, narrow, high houses, arranged irregularly, with massive foundations along the city perimeter, with antique decorations and plasters of bright colors, with thick windows, many protrusions and recesses, supporting arches, balconies, railings, vases of flowers and clothes hanging as postcard.
