About the property

Condo, 2 bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 4, en suite washer/dryer

Come and enjoy Breckenridge from this first floor, two-bedroom, two-bath condominium. Each bedroom has a queen bed with a lighted ceiling fan and ample closet space. There are two separate recliners in the living room, each with a foot stool, facing the 37 inch flat screen TV mounted over the gas fireplace.

We have added can lighting in the living room, a new large dining room table and chairs. There is laminate floor throughout.

There is free off-street parking for TWO vehicles.

No matter the season, the condominium is also within easy walking distance of the FREE transportation provided by Breckenridge that will take you down into town or up to the base of Peak 8. In the summer you are within easy walking distance of the fun park located at the base of Peak 8. Very convenient because there is no parking at the fun park itself.

From the central bus stop near the gondola, you can also board the FREE Summit County 'Stage' that will take you to the other Summit County ski areas (Copper Mountain, Keystone, and Arapahoe Basin) and the nearby towns of Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne, including the discount shopping mall in Silverthorne.

In the warmer months, the tree-shaded, large deck just outside the living room provides a perfect place to use the propane BBQ for cooking.

The IKEA kitchen is well stocked with spices and condiments you might want to prepare delicious gourmet meals: the kitchen has a full-size electric stove (self-cleaning oven), microwave, coffee maker, toaster, 2 waffle irons, 'magic bullet' blender, and crock pot. There is the usual assortment of condiments in the refrigerator door for your use. No need to shop if you arrive late; there is coffee, cold cereal and refrigerated soy milk for your first breakfast.

The wood dining room table will comfortably seat your party with room to spare.

The front-loading stacked washer and dryer are conveniently located in the hallway between the two bedrooms. Linens, blankets, and paper products are provided.

Note: There is NO hot tub or pool in the complex, but Breckenridge has a first-class recreation center approximately 1 1/2 miles from the condo. The rec center has a pool, slide, two hot tubs (inside and outside), exercise equipment in a room with spectacular views of the ski area, a short indoor track, rock climbing wall, and sport courts.

This is a non-smoking unit (condominium and deck) and Grandview covenants (and the owners' allergies) do NOT allow pets.

At least one person in the party must be over the age of twenty-five.

You can contact us directly by email, which we monitor daily.

Keywords: Condominium, first floor, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, washer & dryer in unit; large private deck just off living room.

SUMMER TIME NOTES: Our unit is located a short walk from the Breckenridge Fun Park, located at the base of Peak 8. The Fun Park will be open from June 10th through September 5th. NOTE: There is no public parking at the base of Peak 8 for the Fun Park, so the condo is ideally situated to take in the activities: gold runner coaster, Breckflyer zip line, alpine super slide, superbungee trampoline, rock climbing wall, restaurant, and more! (Alternatively, you can drive/walk downtown and take a free gondola ride up to the Fun Park.)

About David and Christine

My wife and I are retired and purchased this condo as a short-term rental unit.

David and Christine purchased this condo in 2006

Why David and Christine chose Breckenridge

Breckenridge is lovely, historic, and retains its small-town personality with a wide range of year-round activities. There are the usual winter slope-side activities. Plus, there is the 2 Adventure Park in nearby Frisco where the family can enjoy 'tubing'. In the summer there is the well-known, summer-long music festival and the Fun Park which is located @ the Base of Peak 8. In the summertime, Frisco's Adventure Park converts to a mountain bike riding area with a wide-range of challenging bumps and jumps. Breckenridge is close to the nearby ski areas of Copper Mountain, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Vail is just over its name-sake pass. Breckenridge is conveniently located west of Denver and Denver International Airport via Interstate 70. The summer and fall provide a restful retreat from the heat of the Great Plains. After the snow melts, there is a paved bike path that connects Breckenridge with Dillon-Silverthorne and continues on to Copper Mountain and Vail (via the paved bike path up/over Vail Pass).

What makes this condo unique

During ski season, the unit is conveniently located just off the 4 O'clock run with quick access to the Snowflake Lift. Coming home for a hot lunch after a morning on the slopes is both pleasant and cost effective. After the snow is gone, you can walk down into town on the 4 O'clock ski run into town where you see birds, rabbits, squirrels, even deer and the occasional fox. The 4 O'clock run ends on Park Avenue just across from the River Walk entertainment complex. In the summer, Breckenridge has a 'fun park' at the base of Peak 8 with an alpine slide, maze, and other attractions. There is NO parking at the base of Peak 8, but the condo is just a short walk from the Fun Park.

Beautiful, newly updated, and clean!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo for a few nights as a getaway from Denver. We have a toddler and newborn, and the place was really comfortable to setup our kiddos in different areas for sleep. We found the place to be very clean, very bright and inviting, and very modern. They had all sorts of toiletries and food staples stocked in there which was very helpful. The owners put together a compresneive email of instructions which included anything you needed to know! It was a nice way to spend a few days in the early summer. We highly recommend it!

Everthing You Need and More...

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for four days and were so appreciative of not having to buy a ton of supplies when arriving. The owners have left lots of sundries--cooking supplies, the basics, even bathroom supplies so you can enjoy your vacation without breaking your budget when you get there, or have to go out and buy something if you forgot it! Want to go to the library? They have a library card for you. Need the local discount grocery store shopping card? It's there for you. Beautifully decorated condo--everything looks new or updated...cute little kitchen, comfortable furnishings, even the beds felt great! (Hard to find good mattresses for aging backs in rental properties!) It's a small unit but has a nice floor plan. Close to town--walking distance of 1.5 miles or a little less if you want to get some exercise. Quiet and secluded with plenty of space between this unit and other neighboring condos. There's even a beautiful little red fox that comes for visits, if you are lucky! Breckenridge is a lovely little town with lots of cool shops and great restaurants. Owners return email questions very promptly. We loved this condo and plan to return.

This condo was so comfortable and conveniently located. The owners really thought of the needs and wants of their renters...i.e washer and dryer, City Market card, basic food items, etc. You can't go wrong with this!
