About Susan Hrdlichka
Hello, We are Dean and Susan Hrdlichka, I am a full time Realtor of 14 years with Walker Asset Management Realty and I am native to Colorado. My husband is foreman of a local mechanic shop and we just finished getting this fully equipped lovely mountain home ready to be your "Home Away From Home". We hope to have you as our guest.
Susan Hrdlichka purchased this House in 2017
Why Susan Hrdlichka chose Cripple Creek
This particular property is great because of the location. It is close to downtown but also has the feel of being "away from it all". It sets up high with a deck view of the mountains. The deck and kitchen get the morning sun. Home is located on a quiet street within walking distance to restaurants, gambling, nightlife, downtown events and shopping. There are so many historical attractions close by. Theatre, gold mine, museums, steam train, ect.. This is a great place for the hunter, fisher, skier, outdoors person, or for anyone in need of R & R!
What makes this House unique
We love inviting friends over to barbecue on the large deck overlooking the breath taking views of Pikes Peak and Sangre de Cristo mountains. Watch for the wild life to walk by (fox, deer, burros and an occasional bear) No matter what time of year it is....Cripple Creek always has something to do ... whether it be a nearby attraction or one of the many year around events downtown (Donkey Derby to Ice Scuulpting Escapades). This cozy little house is furnished with everything needed to entertain, barbeque, cook, bake, snuggle in with a movie or book and just relax by the fireplace.

A great place to stay while enjoying Cripple Creek and surrounding areas
We loved how nice and cozy the house was, beautifully decorated and stocked with quite a few essentials that came in handy. We saw a couple of deer on the property while we were there, so we fed them the apples that Susan had left for us in the fridge, first time I had ever been this close to wild life out in the open and not in a zoo. I would definitely stay here again, there were 5 of us staying here and we all loved it and all slept comfortably.
Thank you for taking time to write such a nice review. We feel so thankful to have such wonderful guests. We look forward to your return.

A little slice of home away from home!
We stayed almost a week at this little quaint home in the middle of a small town of Cripple Creek. The sound of the train horn during the day was a beautiful reminder of where we were in the USA. The close casinos were within walking distance and some of the shops. The House is super clean and has everything you need.
The home was clean, comfortable, and a very short walk to downtown. We truly enjoyed our stay. Everything made the house feel like a home. The Hrdlickcha’s have obviously put a lot of thought into making their property a true home away from home. No small detail has been left out. We truly appreciated the beautiful flowers and delicious muffins provided to welcome us. Would definitely stay here again!
Amazing home amidst the scenery of Cripple Creek! Family of 6 loved it!
Super convenient to everything, incredibly homey space with plenty of room for our family of 6 to eat & hang out together but also to have our own space. FULL kitchen and decor. This place is well loved by owners & you can really tell. Highly recommend.
Perfect home away from home!
I was not visiting Cripple Creek for vacation or gambling. My sister and I came to help our nephew empty his mom’s house. Our sister who had passed away. We needed a home to stay in that we could be together as family and relax after working all day. This house was perfect. Great location...if we wanted to be tourists we were close to everything. The home was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. We used the washer and dryer. Kitchen had everything we needed for meal preparation. We used the grill. It was conveniently located a step from the kitchen door. We enjoyed the comfortable seating on the back deck. Beds were comfortable. The skylights which opened and a fan in the upstairs bedroom made for cool and cozy sleeping. Susan, the owner, was very easy to work with. She was very prompt at responding to our questions. On the day we were leaving I I left my phone in the house and locked the door. I was able to contact Susan. She responded immediately with a solution and saved the day. It was a sad time for my family but staying in such a lovely home made it so much better. We felt at home.... a feeling you will never get from a hotel. Thanks for everything,Susan!
Very clean, Good beds/sheets/pillows. Responsive and kind host!
We enjoyed our stay at Susan's property. Our daughters said it felt like we were staying at a friend's home. The beautiful rugs and houseplants made it feel cozy. Sofa and Chair were comfortable. Nice seating on back deck. Huge kitchen with all the basics for cooking. None of us were interested in the casinos but we enjoyed hunting down the donkeys around town each day, took the train ride and learned a bit about the gold rush history and modern day mining. Loved our tour of the Homestead House too. We took day trips to Manitou Springs and the Royal Gorge (each about 1 hour drive).
