Formerly known as Lazy Lizards this wonderful home on 30A is under new ownership and has been renamed “Grit & Grace on 30A”.

This sophisticated beach retreat is tastefully decorated and ideally situated in Old Florida Village. You will be enchanted by the lush landscaping, swaying palm trees and white picket fences of home is next to one of two parks in the community, just steps away from the largest of two pools and a short stroll (less than 800 yards) to easy access of the sugar white beaches of Santa Rosa Beach on Florida's Emerald Coast. Your pets and children will love the fenced backyard and you will love morning coffee, afternoon cocktails and cool coastal breezes on any of the 3 porches.

Grit & Grace is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath, three story cottage that comfortably sleeps ten. It features an open floor plan ideal for entertaining and spending time with family and friends. The first floor includes an open kitchen/living/dining room with a deck for outdoor relaxing and a gorgeous lake view. The well-appointed kitchen provides all the conveniences of home in a bright and cheery atmosphere. Also located on the first floor is a bedroom with a queen bed, flat screen TV and it own private balcony. A full size bathroom with shower sits just outside the bedroom. The Second floor offers a Master Suite with a King bed, flat screen TV, a private screened porch with lake view and a large full bath with walk-in shower. This floor also features the third bedroom, a Queen, with bath, flat screen TV and private balcony. The washer/dryer are also located on this floor. The third floor Tower Room features the 4th bedroom and is an ideal kids room, with 4 twin beds and TV/CD player, it's a perfect place for XBOX tournaments and slumber parties with cousins and friends.

No convenience has been overlooked in this beautifully decorated home. High speed internet access and free wifi allows our guests to work out of the home if they so choose.

An extensive bike/run/walk path along 30A, as well as, fantastic State Park Trails are just outside the entrance to Old Florida Village. We're located close to Seaside, Grayton Beach, Blue Mountain Beach and Gulf Place where you can explore fabulous art galleries and an array of funky shops, and also experience live theatre, outdoor music and movies, and world class dining. It's only a 10 minute drive to Silver Sands, the South's largest Outlet mall, and 30 minutes to both Destin Commons Mall (to the West) and Pier Park, Panama City's newest entertainment mall (to the East).

Born in south Alabama I've been coming to the Florida Panhandle since I was a little kid. It has been a goal of mine to one day own a home on 30A. Thru a whole lot of grit and an abundance of grace I was able to achieve this goal in 2017.

To me 30A is simply the best place in the USA. There is not another place I know of where you will see such amazing colors in the water and white crystal sand on the shoreline. These are just a few of the reasons the area has grown so much over the years. I think the best part of this vacation house, “Grit & Grace”, is the location. Located on the West End of 30A the crowds are much smaller giving you a more relaxed beach vacation feel.

Wonderful getaway

Our family rented lazy lizards for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owner is extremely responsive and the home is absolutely lovely. Very private and quiet, looking out over a treed lake and situated next to the common green space so there is only one true neighbor. The pools are lovely as well - and easy walking distance to the beach.

I am a returning customer to Old Florida Village (Neighborhood) for 5yrs now & absolutely fell in love with Diane's home.

Lazy Lizards is comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated, & privately located poolside on Gulf shores of 30A.

My family & I will be returning again June 2018 & highly recommend this beach rental.

Great House Made for a Wonderful White (sand) Christmas

My wife, three sons, and I stayed at this house for week at Christmas-time in 2016, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. There are three large bedrooms with double beds, two of which contain their own bathroom. All three bedrooms have nice a nice porch or balcony attached. My 11-year old and 13-year old were thrilled to have an "adult" bedroom. Each night my 11-year old would disappear an hour before bedtime, and I would find him reading on his balcony. There is also a crow's nest with four single beds for kids. Overall, it is a great layout for a single family, or two or three couples with kids.

The furniture, the bathrooms, and the kitchen are all high-quality and made our stay comfortable. Nothing seemed like it was chosen to be stuck into a rental. For example, the carpets are thick and soft, not like something you would find in a hotel that is chosen simply to withstand high traffic. The bathrooms have high-quality sinks and fixtures, with fantastic glass enclosed walk-in showers.

The house is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood with cobblestone streets, and it almost has a Disneyesque feel to it; it definitely makes you feel like you are on vacation. The house is a long walk or a very short drive to the beach, which is a beautiful, wide, white-sand beach. We stayed off-season, so the parking was plentiful and the beach not crowed at all.

The house also contains a decent-sized fenced-in back yard, which was perfect for our dog--the house and owner a very pet-friendly--and for the boys to throw around a football.

I contacted the owner a couple of times with questions, and she was great. I got the impression she genuinely wanted us to enjoy ourselves and the house.

We have stayed at several rental houses through VRBO, and my boys declared this to be the best one yet, a sentiment with which I concur. We plan to return to Santa Rosa Beach, and this will be the first property we try to rent.

3rd year at Old Florida Village- Best home by far

The vacation community Lazy Lizard sits in is very family freindly, very well landscaped and you always feel that the area is secure and safe. Lazy Lizard is our third vacation home rented at Old Florida Village in as many years and by far the best. The home is equiped with everything you could need, the furniture, bedding, and appliances all very nice. The extras you don't expect to see are there as well, a grill, great wifi, a nice TV in every room with all the channles you could want, etc. A fenced backyard for the dog and so on. You can walk or ride your bikes to the beach either way it's a short commute. Same with restaurants you can walk to some or drive to others so many great choices within five or ten minutes of the Lazy Lizard.

Best place we've stayed!!!

We've been using VRBO for vacations for years and the Lazy Lizard takes the cake. The home is beautiful, the pictures on this site don't do it justice. Diane has thought of everything you may need and you can see that she takes great pride in her home. She is always willing and eager to help if you have any questions. There was plenty of room for everyone including our 85 pound German Shepherd. The pools in the village are nice and the beach is a short walk away. We had a great time and highly recommend the Lazy Lizard!!!
