About Harriette Leiby
I grew up in Michigan, and I feel nothing compares to time spent and memories made in a cottage. My husband and I enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, and spending long days on the can't get enough! We enjoy a good competitive game of cornhole, and nights sitting around a bonfire. We love to watch the wildlife (eagles, osprey, ducks, loons, swans, and deer) as they swim and fish on the water.
Harriette Leiby purchased this Chalet in 2017
Why Harriette Leiby chose Stanwood
The uniqueness of this chalet caught our attention 10 years ago when we bought a cottage down the road. We always said we would love to have this place someday. The original owners sold the house to us in August 2017, and we have been renovating as time and resources allow.
What makes this Chalet unique
White washed pine ceilings, solid wood beams, handpicked stone fireplace by the mason/original owner, cedar shake roof, redwood deck, etc.

Beautiful, peaceful getaway!
This is the perfect place! The accommodations are so cute and the beds are very comfortable. The view is breath taking! It was quiet and somewhat secluded, and is close to shopping, but has everything you would need. The hosts were GREAT! I could go on and on. We will definitely be going back :)
Thank you Michelle, we would love to have you back. It was great to meet you and your husband. We are glad you enjoyed your stay, and hope you had a wonderful anniversary!
Quaint and charming chalet on the water.
This quaint and rustic chalet was perfect. My friends and I needed a place stay while our daughters attended cheer camp at Ferris State. The lower level of the chalet was the perfect choice. The view was beautiful, the cabin was cozy and the owners were friendly and readily available if needed. They had even written a cute welcome message to us Cheer moms on the chalkboard door. I wish we had planned a day to spend at the chalet to utilize the kayaks , the fire pit and to just relax and enjoy the scenery. We all enjoyed our stay. Kerry B and The other Cheer Moms
Thanks cheer moms! It was great having you, and we're happy that you enjoyed your stay.
Absolutely beautiful property, beautiful house, everything is very well kept and the owners are very nice! definitely a great place for a little getaway!
Prime location and very hospitable owners!
We (my dad and son) traveled to this area for the first time and it is such a great location to just get away. They were very hospitable! We were able to use their kayaks and they were also kind enough to set up their boat for fishing. The house was very clean, perfect area out on the patio to just sit back and read a book and check out God's beautiful creation.
Thank you Angela. We enjoyed meeting you and having your family stay with us!
