My wife and I wanted to share our lake cabin with others so this year we decided to start renting it out so others could experience all the beauty the Northoods has to offer. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and we will do our best to you promptly.
This cozy cabin has a level walk down to the lake. The lake is perfect for swimming, boating or fishing. Large dock for your boat or use our 14' boat for no extra charge. The public boat landing is nearby.
Enjoy a campfire in the evening after a fun day on the lake. After spending time at Anvil's Sweet Retreat you will feel relaxed and refreshed looking forward to coming back year after year.
Our lake cabin sits on a quiet cove on Anvil lake where you can take in all that the Northwoods has to offer.
As you sip your coffee in the morning on the attached deck you can see the bald eagles soaring and the loons swimming with their young. Because the lake has a max depth of 32' it's perfect for all kinds of fishing. From crappie to walleye it's all here.
The sand shore is an exceptional place for swimming and it's great for kayaking and canoeing. Relax in front of the lakeside fire pit for a campfire and roast some marshmallows or cook some burgers on the grill. This beautiful cabin is in a setting of mature maple and oak trees on a spacious 3/4 acre lot that has an open lawn to the waters edge. It's an easy walk down to the water and will accommodate any age group from young to old.
You are within walking distance to the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest, which offers miles of hiking trails. Also nearby is Anvil Lake public boat landing and beach which has a sandy bottom and beautiful views of the sunset. There is a Loon nesting box on the lake and you'll see them all summer, Trumpeter swans in the fall. Plenty of Northwood's wildlife to behold in the water and in the air.
Don’t forget to enter our fishing contest by taking a picture of the biggest bass fish you caught on Anvil Lake. Take a pic with a tape measure from mouth to tall and one of yourself holding it with the cabin in the background. If emailed we will put it on our website and the longest fish wins a gift!
