This condominium is located in the upscale area of Hwy 30-A. Perched on the quiet and pristine beach of South Walton between Destin and Seaside Florida. It is located close to shopping from specialty shops to outlet malls (called 'the nation's largest designer outlet mall' with over 100 name brand stores), fine or casual dining (4 restaurants within a short walk) and some nightlife. You are just a short drive to Destin's beautiful harbor - home to the largest deep sea fishing fleet in Florida.
If you are a golfer you will find 1,080 holes of golf in our area, many are famous name designer golf courses such as Tom Fazio, Greg Norman and Fred Couples. San Remo Condominiums
San Remo is one of South Walton's newest gulf side condominiums. The complex is a gated quaint low-rise four story building with only 36 units in the entire complex. San Remo was built in 2005. If you want to pamper yourself in very lavish surroundings this should be your choice. Wait till you see the view from #205.

Needed a small beach place for my husband to have a little Rest and Relaxation. We found your wonderful condo here at San Remo!! Perfect for us - loved having the bicycles, beach chairs service and great pool. We loved your unit and will love to come back another time
This was my first visit to 30A. Did not know what to expect. We came for the 30A 13.1 road race so this is not prime beach weather due to cold front that weekend, but it was prime running weather! This is a perfect location that is walking distance to the race start at Gulf Place. The condo was well kept, easy access to the beach, and a hot tub! Disappointed that the pool was not heated...seasonal means Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks only, not the "cold season". I'm sure it is perfect in the summer time! However, the hot tub was great at night! The TV was not HD so a little blurry to watch the football games, but this is the beach....that is the best view anyway. This condo is perfect for a couple trying to get away for a beach retreat. Don't forget to bring your beach chairs, they will come in handy watching the sunsets each night!
We loved this place. It was so clean and had all we needed for our family of four. It was also easy to keep our 1 and 3 year olds safe in this vacation home. We plan to return.
We (2 adults and 3 children) really enjoyed our stay at this unit. The furnishings are great and (thankfully) not the typical 1980's beach colors blue/green/yellow. We really appreciated the updated surfaces, appliances and multi-room audio system. The oversize balcony was great for the whole family to have breakfast and dinner. The kids really liked the bunk beds and built in Xbox system. The pool deck was always clean.
Easy walk to multiple restaurants and the area is very safe.
We rented for two months (January - February 2016), and we found the condo disappointing - interior was very dated with uncomfortable living room furniture (no support), broken down patio furniture, dirty base boards, 80's dusty silk plants everywhere, and filthy bedroom carpeting (to be fair, the owner mentioned he plans to replace the carpeting soon). There were new flat screen TV's in the living room and master br - plus a great surround sound system with speakers in every room. The beach was very nice, clean and practically deserted in the winter! We loved the hot tub & pool area - very well maintained!
This was a last minute Labor Day/Birthday weekend trip for the two of us (mid-50s, empty nesters) and James' unit was ideal for us.
Pluses: southwest-facing big patio on 2nd floor overlooking pool, pond and ocean beyond the dunes and sunsets; well appointed with quality windows/doors/tile/granite/window dressings/ furniture/applicances/fixtures/utensils/linens/towels etc.; full size washer and dryer rather than the usual over/under; elevators are close to unit and fast but only 16 steps if you want to take the stairs as the unit on the second floor of 4 story building; great stereo system with individual volume controls in the walls for every room; walk to Goatfeathers for steamed shrimp; not a huge complex so beach was not crowded; walk to Gulf Place; gated complex that is set back from the road with an low key entrance so be careful you don't miss it; great desk nook for computer work and lots of cabinets; bed was very comfortable; very responsive and easy to reach owner James is a local realtor who takes his rental business seriously. Although not quite "homey" as places we have stayed where the owner is also an occupant, this unit is much nicer than the typical "investor" units that are bland and everything is cheap.
Minor minuses: the bunk room is for small children only with no closet so your teens won't fit although they would have a full bath to use but it was a great place for us to store our bikes and all our beach gear; master bath only has one vanity despite being large enough for a double so we ended up using both bathrooms; would have preferred a King in the master. There were a couple of very small inconveniences that I've shared with James that I'm sure he'll address immediately.
As we prepared to leave the wife said: "I could live here".
This visit was our third one to San Remo but first time using this unit. The owner has done a great job in furnishing the condo in a functional manner, with speakers throughout the space and built-in cabinets that provide ample storage space. Space was perfect for our family of five, and of course, as with previous visits to San Remo, we thoroughly enjoyed the beach and swimming pool. We would definitely plan on renting this unit in the future.
