Just a few more steps down Ala Moana Blvd lies the enormous Ala Moana Mall, one of the largest in the world with great shopping and restaurants, and the beautiful Ala Moana Beach Park where you can go for a swim, practice outdoor yoga, or enjoy a standup paddle board session.
In the opposite direction you are a short 5 minute walk to the Friday night fireworks show at the Hilton Waikiki (you can actually catch it from the front of the building if you go around to the front from your room) and the start of the 1.5 mile Waikiki Beach area. In Waikiki you'll find all the shopping and restaurants and beach activities that you would expect from a world class vacation destination.
If you are in the military or retired military, Fort Derussy is right around the corner where you can utilize their fantastic amenities located within the Hale Koa that have military discounts (cheapest luaua in town, beach bar, Shoppette/Class 6, and more).
