About Carol

I have been coming to Wellfleet since I was 8 years old. It was one of the first places in New England Roger and I visited together. He fell in love with Wellfleet as well. We were lucky to find this wonderful house and purchase it in 2005.

Carol purchased this house in 2005

Why Carol chose Wellfleet

We purchased our home in 2005 and have nurtured it ever since! It's a unique , user friendly property with lots of historic charm and lots of modern amenities. We've done a major renovation/restoration of the property inside and out. It is in the best location in Wellfleet.. a five minute walk to the harbor and Mayo Beach and a five minute walk to downtown Wellfleet. Sitting on the wonderful screened porch guarantees instant serenity!

Great Place to Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home! It is the perfect vacation house. We loved the decor of the home. It was extremely inviting. We could walk into the center of Wellfleet in a few minutes. We loved having dinner on the screened porch, strolling down to the bay, visiting the many galleries, and totally enjoyed ourselves.

We look forward to going back to the house, which is so cozy. I highly recommend this rental because it does not have the feel of a rental - It felt like home. And the owner Carol was so thoughtful and easy to deal with.

comfort, space and privacy

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, step-son, daughter in law grandson all enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! This is a place we will return to many times! Carol and Roger were there to greet us when we arrived, and graciously gave us a tour of everything and showed us all the amenities. After that we did not see them again, but were always able to reach them with a few questions. The place is very clean and has a very fresh appearance with nicely painted walls and comfortable furniture throughout the house.

The home and yard space are spacious, and we enjoyed our time outside, and on the deck, especially when grilling our meals. The porch is nestled in the trees and creates a sheltered way to be in the open air. The porch furniture is colorful and comfortable and there is seating for many. The kitchen is just right for preparing meals and is right next to the dining room table.

The location is perfect! One of our favorite places is the Wellfleet library, and we could walk there in 10 minutes. The small grocery store has a great selection and the local fish market offers the best fish. We really loved being in the quietness of our house, but also being to access the stores and art galleries within walking distance.

I will recommend this property to my friends and family!

Quaint, immaculate, summer house!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful home, beautifully decorated and furnished, lovely gardens, and the PERFECT location to town, harbor and beaches! We enjoyed riding our bikes or walking to dinner and town, picking up fresh seafood and produce at Hatche's Fish Market and dining down at Mac's Seafood, the Pearl and the Bookstore! We loved the screened in porch, where we hung out most of the time, reading, talking, or dining. It's in a very quiet location with only the sounds of birds singing and chirping, I didn't want to leave! We would love to return next summer!

Wonderful house, terrific location

  • 5 of 5

What sets this house fromt the rest is that it really does have it all. Great location- quiet, peaceful street, yet close enough to walk to town or to the pier or beach. The house itself is well appointed and very comfortable. The furnishings and the art in the house are definately well above what you usually see in a beach house. Kitchen is updated with everthing you need, beds are very comfortable, rooms are big with ample space for everything. We went with another family and it was perfect and accomodated everyone. Our favorite part of the house was the screened in porch- wonderfully decorated and just lovely to sit in and enjoy the outdoors, especially in the evening. When we were not on the porch we were enjoying the terrific deck or watching the kids do art projects in the adorable playhouse. Owner Carol was a wonderful host, it's obvious how much she loves the house and it shows. See you next year and can't wait!

Perfect In Town Location

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house based on it's location for the first week in July. I was traveling with my husband and two children (ages 4 and 5). We enjoy staying in town so we can walk to restaurants and ice cream shops. This location ended up being ideal. The house is almost a half mile from 'Kid Beach', a playground, and ice cream. My kids were able to walk the distance with no complaining and they really enjoyed the evening activities. The house is located on a quiet and peaceful street.

The house was immaculate when we arrived. The layout is nice and the decor is very tasteful and comfortable. The screened in porch is large and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. The owners are very kind and accommodating - all questions were answered accurately and I had a sense they genuinely wanted us to have a great time. We are considering renting again for next year's vacation.
