Comfortable 3 bedroom home
Comfortable home that was very convenient to everything we needed. We would book here again.
Cute house, clean. Tiny improvements suggested
This is an older house that has 3 decent sized bedrooms, two baths, large living room, dining kitchen, laundry area, and nice covered front porch w seating. There are two pretty tiny full bathrooms. It was very clean.
Mesa isn’t upscale. But the neighborhood is safe. And this house was cute and nicer than most. We enjoyed hanging out on front porch in the evening.
The two bathrooms and kitchen are all pretty much original, in good shape. No dishwasher but we didn’t mind. There were lots of dishes.
There is a TV w Roku for movies but no cable service. We were a bit disappointed not to be able to watch live sports.
Property appears to be owned by two or more owners. They communicate by email and were responsive. Cell phone would be faster.
We hit one snag. It wasn’t very cool inside on arrival. After a few emails w owner it became clear AC needed repairman visit (i.e., the problem wasn’t our inability to figure out how to work the AC). It was getting hotter inside. Weather was to be 100 degrees next day.
The owner dispatched a tech who appeared a couple hours later, 8pm. By 10pm he had the AC working. He was able to do a repair that involved cleaning the entire unit and defrosting the coils. We were thrilled.
I think the quick night time repair was able to be done bc the owners have multiple rental properties so access to responsive workmen.
We were very pleased they let us stay a little late on checkout day so we could pick up our bags en route to airport.
We had a good experience and thought it was good value. We would stay again though would get them to verify AC is working by turning it on a few hours before arrival.
A few things are easy opportunities for improvement.
1. Create a user manual for the house’s key things like heat/cooling, TV, washer/dryer, etc. include in it location of key services like recommendations for restaurants and attractions. This should be standard at all short term rentals.
2. Get ice maker repaired or provide a lot of ice cube trays. There were none. We bought some.
3. Bedroom closets were roomy and clean but need hangers. There were none.
4. Living room ceiling fan isn’t working.
5. Front porch could use more light so can be used to sit outside at night.
6. Communicate via text or cell phone. That provides quicker response than email and can get questions answered fast
7. Get AC annual maintenance.
8. Turn on cable
Comfortable, Clean, Convenient Bungalow
Clean, safe, comfortable home. Conveniently located for our Superstition Mountain hikes and visits with family in Phoenix. Noise from refurbishment of Mormon Temple across the street unavoidable- but usually 7am-5pm. Not a problem. Would recommend this property. Great fenced yard for fur friends.
Thank you Craig. We hope to see you again-:)
This is a cute little older home which definitely reminded me of visiting either my grandma or great grandma. An older home so you can't expect it to be super roomy, but it was great for a quick night's stay for my family. It's located in a quiet place and being members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints we were happy to be right across from the Mesa Temple. Too bad it's currently under renovation. We would have loved to be able to walk the temple grounds. Anyway, as far as the home the master bedroom shower is very tiny so luckily my wife didn't need to shave her legs, but the other bathroom shower would be sufficient if it was leg shaving day!!..haha.. Definitely a nice place to stay for a night, but if we were staying for longer, I'd prefer something a little more modernized with bigger bathrooms.
Super cute, great stay!
The house was so cute and fit my family well. Super clean, smelled great, well stocked with the basics. It was a great first VRBO experience.
