For reservations that are STAYS OF LESS THAN 30 DAYS: (Rentals that are nightly or weekly and less than 30 days) A sixty (60) day notice is required for ANY cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur the loss of the security deposit (if one was collected) or if no security deposit is required, $275 plus the cost of the $99 Damage Waiver. Damage Waivers are non-refundable. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made less than 60 days of the arrival date, will incur the loss of the total reservation amount paid including and reservation/security deposit/damage waiver policy. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. For reservations that are STAYS OF 30 DAYS OR MORE: (Monthly rentals) Any cancellation made more than 120 days prior to arrival will incur the loss of 1/2 of the reservation confirmation amount (1st Payment) less any amount paid towards the security deposit (if one was collected). Damage Waivers are non-refundable. Cancellations that are made within 120-90 days prior to the arrival date, will incur the loss of the full total reservation amount paid to date which includes less any amount applied towards security deposit (if one was collected). Cancellations made less than 90 days prior to arrival, will incur the loss of the full reservation amount including security deposit (if security deposit was collected). Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or return of deposit.

Perfect location, beautiful home!
2-bedroom home with 2 full baths is exactly as pictured. Main floor, so easy access to street (only three steps up into home). Comfortable beds, beautiful art, well-stocked kitchen accessories, including a "welcome" bottle of sparkling wine chilling in the fridge. About an 8-minute walk to the pier, which is central location for $1/day shuttle up and down State Street and along the waterfront. Also quick access to the "on-off" Trolley, which offered a great 90-minute overview of Santa Barbara. Lots of good restaurants within 10-minute walk of the home, about 15 minutes into the heart of the "Funk Zone," and loads of food and shopping along State Street.
If you are flying out of Santa Barbara airport, it is only 15-minutes' drive and tiny! It took us only 30 minutes to drive there, drop the car, check in bags, and go through security. So you can plan accordingly - we cooled our heels for two unnecessary hours.
Only a couple of downsides: the driveway is VERY narrow and we just parked the rental car in the garage rather than risk trying to go in and out. Also, they seem to have a very strict 10 AM checkout. The cleaners arrived at 9:45 AM and tried to get in (door was locked), and then stood outside the door talking (and parked in the driveway), making us feel very rushed at the end. Would have liked a more leisurely checkout.
Hi Marie! Thank you so much for leaving such great feedback. I do apologize for the housekeepers showing up 15 minutes early, that is not acceptable and I have shared this with their supervisor. Unfortunately, the amount of time it takes to clean and do all the laundry for a 2 bedroom home is not the same as a standard hotel room and therefore, when guests are arriving on the same day you depart, it leaves a very small window to get the cleaning, laundry and any necessary repairs done. Laundry cycles alone take 4 hours. With hotels rooms they don't have full kitchens, 2 full bathrooms, outside patios, BBQs and everything else necessary to clean. Thank you for understanding this is unlike a hotel experience. We hope to have you back!
Perfect in every way
Everything about West Beach Villa 5 was perfect ! From the location to the decor to the furnishings to the communication with the agent. Having this spot as our home base in Santa Barbara was a treat. It is close to the pier, the Funk Zone and lower State Street. We will be back :)
The house was lovely, even nicer than the photos. Excellent location. The plumbing fixtures in the master bath (sink and shower) were loose and therefore need adjustment. The kitchen has lovely concrete countertops, but guests are instructed to be extremely careful not to spill water on them or spatter grease while using the stovetop. This is a downstairs property with a tenant who lives above, and his footsteps were heard more often than we would have liked. When the tenant used the shower or toilet in the middle of the night, it sounded like he was in our unit with regards to water flow.

This is an exceptional newly built property that is well-maintained and built with incredible design and architecture (highly acclaimed local builder and achitect). The countertops we admit are delicate but we have large cutting boards which have them wonderfully protected which we are sure you saw. To clarify, there is not a tenant that lives upstairs. Occassionally there may be a guest that stays in the upstairs villa however the property is definitely well built and insulated so we are surprised to here you even heard anyone. We are glad you felt it was even better than the photos! We think so as well. For price and location and all the incredible amenities and full kitchen and yard, to think a standard hotel room is double or even triple the price in summer for less privacy.
Exceeded our expectations!
We loved our stay! The unit was very clean and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the proximity to the harbor area, Stearns Wharf, Funk Zone and downtown. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful home and ideal location
My husband and I had a great time here with our kids (2 and 4 years old). The house was perfect, with plenty of space and comfortable beds. The location was perfect, so close to the Moxi, the harbor, the beach, and more. We loved being able to walk everywhere. One thing to note is that the garage parking is a little tight, but got easier with practice.
