Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: In 2004 we retired and moved to Hawaii to build our dream cottage. We found this amazing property in the rainforest, in the town of Volcano. We created a private drive into the property so that we could build our cottage right in the middle of the huge fern trees. This is the only dwelling on this property and is very private. You can not see any other homes from the inside of the house or sitting out on the lanai. When we were building and creating Hale Mauka we focused on every detail. We made sure the deep soaking tub had a huge window for that rainforest view. The bedrooms have large windows to bring in the beauty of the rainforest. Hale Mauka was built with love and creativity. We love sharing our second home with guest from around the world! We Welcome you to our Hale Mauka.. We hope you enjoy our Hale as we do.. We are now building a second home in South Kona, so we are just moments away if you need help with anything.
