Life is about making memories, and we hope you will make some with us. For you early birds, you won't want to miss the sunrises (see photos taken from the beach near the apartment). This is a darling ground level studio apartment in the historic and eclectic San Jacinto neighborhood on the east end. Private entry and bath, full kitchen, full size bed with pillow top and gel memory foam mattress, and a full size sleep sofa perfect for two children (with a comfy new memory foam gel mattress). 48" tv with free cable and wifi, Roku, dvd player and small dvd library. Private patio with propane grill (I supply the propane), and a front porch with wind chimes and a fountain, perfect for people-watching over morning coffee or evening refreshments. I supply all linens except beach towels. The kitchen comes fully equipped with dishes and utensils, pots and pans, baking dishes, stemware and paper goods. There is even tupperware for storing your leftovers. Help yourself to the seasonal herbs in my garden, and/or the year round mint for your sweet tea and mojitos. We are ideally located for easy access to many of Galveston's popular attractions...a mere 4 blocks south is the beach (on quiet evenings you can hear the surf), and a short 5 minute drive north is Galveston's historic Strand district and cruise terminals (a $5 Uber ride each way if you don't want to mess with driving and parking). 5 minutes east is Stewart Beach, a paid public beach park with bathrooms and showers and a water slide. 5 minutes west is the Pleasure Pier. (NOTE ABOUT THE MAP: OUR PROXIMITY TO THE BEACH IS MISLEADING ON THE MAP BECAUSE THE ALLEYS BEHIND THE HOUSES LOOK LIKE STREETS ON THE MAP). Our east end location provides for less traffic and plenty of room on our beach to spread out, put up a canopy, and hang out for the day. There are plenty of nearby restaurants for seafood, burgers, Mexican food, fast food, and a to-die-for bakery with homemade bread and fabulous pastries. There is a Guide in the apartment with our suggestions.
PETS WILL BE CONSIDERED ON A CASE-BY-CASE basis.
Carpe diem!! (or as we islanders say, "Carpe Beach 'um")
