Guestbook comments from the owner

We rented this home as we were having a large family reunion. It was perfect as was located close to Silverwood and the lake. At night, we would light a fire in the fire pit and sit around telling stories. Vey relaxing and quiet.

A Disgusting Nightmare

  • 1 of 5

Never stay here! From the minute we walked in there was no way we would stay here. From the blood and human bodily fluid stains on the pillows and beds to the door that doesn't lock or close to the bullets all over the yard. The gun with live rounds left in the house. The washrooms with pee all over the seats and a shower with the blackest ring around it. The mouse droppings in the oven and oven drawer. These are just some of the gross issues. The house hasn't been cleaned in years. We did not stay there and ended up staying in a hotel. The pictures make it look cozy but this house should be used as a horror film abandoned house set. This place should not be rented to anyone. DO NOT rent this place. This place is not suitable for anyone let alone children. The owner would not return our calls or voicemails. The only saving grace for our vacation was HomeAway working with us (after many many calls) and putting us in a hotel. the only reason I put 1 star is because it makes you. Zero stars, negative 100 stars.

Great rental, especially for the kids.

  • 5 of 5

We had very good stay here at this home! There was plenty of room for the kids to ride the bikes that are on site, run around and play in the very large yard. It was only a short drive away from silverwood theme park. The only downside to our stay was that the water ran out on us a few times during our stay. Just something to keep in mind. But over all we would definitely rent again!

Great place for family gatherings year round!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving family gathering in this sunny woodsy setting. The two living areas offered space for the adults and kids to have activities that didn't conflict with one another, yet not too separated. The provided games, videos, and outdoor area were plentiful and fully used. The house sets just across the road from Farragut State Park boundary with man-gates available to access. We found a walkable trail along the fence line as well as a hill to use sleds. The electric wall heat and wood burning stove kept the house cozy and warm while the outdoor temperature was in the teens. All 11 of us enjoyed having our own comfortable beds to sleep in. Having the bathrooms the downstairs could be a problem for some since there is only one bedroom and futon on the main floor. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of table service, plates, glasses, small appliances and cookware. The family is already talking about a return trip in the summer.

The owner was very good with communication and helpful instruction. He put in many hours making the property ready for us since there were trees down from a storm and the electricity had been out for several days just before we arrived. Thank you Kimm!

Best time, Great place, Wonderful owner.

  • 5 of 5

We simply had a great time. It was very much like home, except they keep the house nice and tidy. Loved the location. Out in the woods, close to a like but yet perfectly located to go to Silverwood. I can't say enough nice things about it. Nice to have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. The owner even brought in bikes and a volleyball net for the kids. Super place that I have no problem recommending to anyone.
