Our property is 5 acres of ponds, waterfalls and fruit trees. The space, our cottage is a 1200 sq/ft 2 bedroom 1 bath stand alone structure nestled in a eucalyptus grove. We are just 3 minutes from Highway 80 so getting here is a breeze. The deck overlooks a lovely pond, large trees and granite boulders. The cottage is just a few years old and we have just finished really nice interior and exterior upgrades. The main house, our residence is nicely hidden by trees, kiwi and grape plants. The cottage feels quite private.

Beautiful location and great getaway!!
The property is so special and wonderful. So much to do for my boys including a tree fort, trampoline, kayaks and fishing on the ponds. I spent most of my time on the large deck enjoying the views. There were tons of fruit trees and the boys loved picking citrus, apples and pomegranates. Naomi and Andrew were very hospitable and it was a pleasure to meet them. Thanks so much for the respite.
Thank you, yes we built the property out for our two boys. It is a heaven for children.
Very Peaceful and Unexpectedly Fun
Our stay at the cottage was lovely. We came in Autumn and the trees were beautiful, the air cool and crisp. It was just my husband and I with our infant daughter. We left the other kids at home, to have a getaway... but I kept thinking how much they would enjoy the place as well. The property is fun, quiet, and expansive enough to feel as though you are almost camping, would be great for school age kids to roam and play make-believe. Has a deluxe yet simple treehouse and an in-ground trampoline (neither very visible from the house, so expect kids to need some supervision). The cottage was impeccably clean and neat... no extra knick-knacks to make you feel like you've invaded your grandmother's house (as we've experienced with other rentals). Television and DVD player are in the master bedroom and were easy to use. The front deck overlooking the grounds was very relaxing. Local restaurants were very charming and had great food. Downsides: tap water tasted a bit on the metallic/bitter side and so I opted to drink bottled water instead, windows to the living areas (facing deck) have no window coverings, which lends to its sleek design but hinders privacy, and the hall from the bathroom to the bedrooms is visible from the front windows, so you may want to bring a robe. :) Also note, the hide-a-bed is located in the front room without window coverings. Other than that, it was perfect. I definitely hope to come again! It's fun enough for kids and relaxing enough for a retreat of any kind. :) Thank you Naomi and family!
Well located and beautiful oasis. Total privacy and the owners were very helpful in orienting us to the local areas. Highly recommended!
We truly enjoyed our stay at our cottage. It was comfortable, clean, and very enjoyable.
Very nice few days
We were pleased with our stay. There is not enough lighting on the side of the house up to the parking area. The parking area would be nicer if it was either paved or had gravel. The dust and dirt goes into the car as well as the house. Cable TV would be nice as well.
We had a wonderful time! Would highly recommend, will stay there again! :-)
We are located a couple miles from the historic foothill town of Newcastle and just a couple more to Auburn. Three miles gets you to Folsom Lake and miles of trails. The cottage is tucked back behind our main house on nearly 5 acres. Like a park, we have lots of fruit trees, 3 ponds, granite rocks. Very peaceful.
