Frédéric 63 years old, vet, French, and Chantal, 62 years old, French of Belgian origin, a surgeon and dentist. We met in Polynesia 30 years ago, after two world tours by boat, separately, and we settled down here afterwards. We have four grown children, two in Paris (Stéphane, 24, pharmacist, and Capucine, 23, almost a dentist) and two who have gone back to Tahiti (Caroline, 27, in the Agricultural Ministry, and Moana, airline pilot). We always go out in our boat and our Langrune house is our foot on the ground in France. We have made it a warm environment, cosy and comfortable, in the middle of our navigation souvenirs. We recommend our house for its soul, its history, and its exceptional and rare location. Its location is on the landing beaches, and was the site of an amazing journey for our friends from Canada, America and England, who are well-loved even 60 years afterwards by the entire local population.
Laurent purchased this Villa in 1910
Why Laurent chose Langrune-sur-Mer
Our house was built by Frédéric's grandfather, and we have owned it for the last 20 years. Although we do love our house, we unfortunately live far away, and cannot go there often. That's why we decided to liven it up and allow others to enjoy it and love it as we do, in this region, so charged with historic emotions.
What makes this Villa unique

Excellent location on coast for exploring Normandy. Would recommend clearer warnings on listing for rental of linens and once rented beds should be made. Would also recommend a book or binder summarizing house rules rather than having them posted all over the walls.
Great location for sightseeing Normandy landmarks. We were grateful to come back to our huge house on the beach giving everyone room to read, play games, have meals or just relax. Our 5 grandchildren even went in the water! Nice to be able to walk to restaurants, and pastry shops. Loved your home!! Thank you for sharing
Wonderful place to stay
Great base for exploring Normandy. We have five adults in our party, there was plenty of room for all of us plus room for more. We visited Bayeux, explored the D-Day beaches and a day trip to Mont St Michel. We had a wonderful time and would come back again. We were graciously greeted when we arrived and found the accommodations very comfortable.
Seaviews at Langrune sur Mer
This large house was perfect for our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 toddlers). Being so close to the beach meant we could go there every day to make sandcastles and fly kites. The house was very well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The most spectacular part of the house was the dining room which had a wall of windows facing the sea where we could watch the sun rise and set. Being close to both Langrune and Luc-sur-Mer meant we could visit playparks in both towns with the children. There were good local cafes and restaurants, and an award-winning bakery in Langrune. Parking for our two cars was available in front of the house, and the network of cycle paths meant we could take the children in bike trailers further afield. The agent for the owners, Laurent, was extremely helpful. We had a couple of problems with the plumbing which he came to deal with almost immediately. We can recommend this house highly.
Merci Roger de votre appréciation .
Revenez nous voir !
Amazing location and a great house!
Our stay has been beyond all expectation! Great weather this year in July and the location of the house right next to the beach. Clean and hospitable and plenty of space even though we were five adults and 6 children. Great location! We saw amazing sunsets on the terrace and we enjoyed the views and activities on the beach/sea. Interesting with the history that the house is surrounded by and that the house remained as one of the few surviving houses. We had an unforgettable stay and would love to return. Many thanks!
successfull family reunion....but.
....peeling paint on "colombages" and all woodwork, gravel in yard not raked, weeds very present, bicycles non operational (3 just needed air, others more...). Inside: well furnished but not very clean; carpet on stairs filthy, closet size kitchen greasy in many places, only one ice cube tray, very inpractical kitchen to cook for 9 people, 2 toilet bowls (upstairs) encrusted with lime & rust, poor quality towels, windows all around filthy (I understand the ones facing the sea but not others), TV and internet were not working, fixed by a local man dispatched by owners after 3 hours.
Ok, that's for the "negative" about this property that is very costly to rent; this is meant to alert the owners of the neglected state of their own property and hopefully they will put in the effort into maintenance and invest into upgrading the property, it is worth it, it is beautifully located. As it is today, I would use an English (US?) expression: "the whole is less than the sum of its parts". This being said, we had a successful family gathering and totally enjoyed our stay. Conclusion: for the price I expected better preparation to greet us and better maintenance all around.
FYI: we did water the flowers and we left the house in order, as per the written instructions provided.
To the owners: for your own sake, do not let this beautiful house deteriorate any further!
This traditional Norman seaside house has been decorated with a marine theme by its owners, who are passionate about sailing. After their trips, they come back there to warm up.
