Our Stunning Hummingbird Native American Teepee, is available for camping. We developed two teepee sites (so far, up to five eventually). Our Hummingbird Teepee is the Lakota Sioux genuine Native Teepee, with a fire pit inside and 4 mattresses, a covered fire pit outside and picnic table as well. There is a rug outside and inside to remove your shoes as you go inside. You may park right up beside the teepee. It's a once in a lifetime experience! Experience staying in a teepee, as well as available for you to reserve a guided horse ride with us, and see what the West is REALLY like from the Native perspective. (We are both Native). Most campgrounds have campers right on top of each other, ours gives you room to hike, see the wildlife, trees and room for privacy just down from Crater Lake. In this 455 acre horse ranch, 5 acres is for campsites and teepees. We have wildflowers, you have space to 'be' here, and that's how we plan on keeping it. We just have a dirt road, and no electricity, all is solar, in our desire to keep compatible with the national forest that we are beside. The norm here is to hear the buzz and whir of hummingbirds, dragon flies and birds of all kinds. You can see the stars at night, and hear cows & sheep off in the distance, and since we are beside Crater Lake Highway, we are an easy distance to Crater Lake, so you will hear some traffic now and then. But the road is blocked by many very tall pine and cedar and juniper trees. You are across the street from Pelican Butte, a beautiful mountain range, and also see Agency Lake off in the distance. We now have a propane shower for our campers, check out a towel with us and shower for free with your campgrounds fee.

Wonderful and unique family experience
Our family of four had the best time! Even on a cold and rainy night we were cozy and warm inside and cuddled around the fire listening to the animal sounds outside. Kori was a lovely host and made sure we had everything we needed. Bedding was brand new and outhouse was super clean. Although we felt like we were in the wilderness, we were just a 5-minute drive from dinner at the casino and we had phone service so could watch movies around the fire. We will definitely be back, next time with friends to join us in the other tipis!
Thank you so much for coming. We really enjoyed having you guys here. We look forward to having you back.
Fun family experience!
Kori was wonderful host, tepee was beautiful to see, enjoyed full moon and starry skies. Heard lots of animals at night like coyote or wolf howls, steers and owls. Saw bats and chipmunks at night. Pretty cold due to fire ban so bring extra blankets. Very very powdery dust everywhere and animal hair throughout so difficult w asthma. Despite any downside, super happy to have new family memories! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed yourself. The camper before you had a dog, we will take care of that, sorry. The dust is from our region being in a drought, 14 weeks with no rain, no way to help that.
Great experience to stay in a tee-pee. Kori was super nice. Would have loved to ride horses with her and talk more about Natuve Americans but we were gone too long in Crater Lake. My kids loved staying here.
Thanks so much, we really enjoyed having your family stay in our tipi. We hope you come back again.
Once in a lifetime experience. Wonderful hosts and beautiful grounds.
We arrived later than expected and the hosts were understanding and kind despite the late hour of our arrival. Such wonderful people and place. A beautiful, surreal experience for our city family. Close enough to Crater Lake and Amtrak for recreation and travel.
Thank you for the wonderful review, we really enjoyed having you here.
Literally felt like visiting family!
Warning: lots of details to help with your decision.
The hosts: Staying with Bob and Kori was a great experience! They welcomed us right into the amazing life style they've built on Heartline Ranch. I've never met such a sweet, unassuming couple! Kori worried over our every need. Bob was great company on a great trail ride.
The accommodation: The teepee was so authentic (and so much better than putting up my own dumb, little tent!) and was so comfortably furnished we hardly needed a thing. That said, this isn't 'glamping', it's enjoying a whole new genuine, camping experience - dust, mosquitos and all - and we loved it! But don't worry, Kori's working on solution for your comfort against the little nuisances too!!!
Location: You couldn't ask for a better location - we accessed Crater Lake Zipline, Rocky Point, and even Lake of the Woods, all in a 24 hours thanks to their convenient location and the beauty of that valley, with the quaint farms surround by rising mountains, is a rare find.
Can't wait to come back and visit 'Aunt' Kori and 'Uncle' Bob!
We loved having you guys here. Such a wonderful family and sweet wonderful guests. We love doing this because of the benefits of meeting new family and friends. Please come back! Loved you guys!
Comfortable and peaceful
What a wonderful adventure! Kori and Bob (and Molly) made our visit comfortable and memorable. The teepee was clean and warm. The property is amazing - you have to check out the sky at night. Horseback riding was a wonderful bonus and I'm so glad we arranged for that - I think the ride and wonderful company was the highlight for my daughter. We'd go back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Kori and Bob (and Molly!) for everything!
We really enjoyed having you both at our teepee, and for the horse ride. Please come again!
