Great family vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time and would rent it again. It was perfect for paddle boarding. It was a short walk to the beach. The house was in nice condition and had plenty of space.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Great location near Ridgevale beach. We were able to walk to the beach and sit by the estuary which was perfect for our 2 1/2 year old grandson, then take a dip in the ocean! House was clean and well-equipped. Mike was very responsive when we had a question about the refrigerator, taking the time to come over and see if things were ok. Loved all the activities in Chatham!

Wonderful vacation for our family of five

  • 5 of 5

13 Soundview is a place I am reluctant to review because I don’t want the secret to get out, but the Jocelyn’s rental was so perfect for our family of 18, 12, and 9 that they really deserve the most enthusiastic digital props. They even left us a bottle of First Crush Rosé (CA grapes, Cape crushed, bottled, and aged). Located right on the corner, and around the corner from the Ridgevale Beach lot, you’ll never need to take your car to the beach (walk from the lot is nearly as far). Southern Cape waters are notably warmer than northern Cape. Ridgevale has a lovely footbridge, snack shack, and rents paddle boards, kayaks, and sailboats. The house is charming with first floor porch and second floor balcony. Even a bit of a view from 2nd floor. One room with bunks + a twin, another with two twins and a trundle, plus a queen - there were lots of spaces for alone time. Family bonding is fostered from open kitchen to table to living room plan. Lots of land on the corner lot. Runner? You’re about 2k from the bike path. A long run can take you to Chatham Harbour past the airport and to the seals at the Pier Fish Market. Less ambitious? Marion’s Pie .7 miles up the road is the food of the gods and a walk will leave you less guilty for what you’ll put in your belly. Cape Baseball is a unique and free showcase for collegiate talent (go BC players on the Chatham Anglers!) Town of Chatham is charming with lots of shops and food. A short drive to distractions of mini golf (many choices including w/amusements and go carts), the very fun Cape Cod Natural History Museum, and a multitude of cruises and nature areas. One of the few Drive In Movie Theaters is a short drive away for more family fun. Kids loved hermit, horseshoe, and “classic” crabs galore in the Rivervale Beach’s’s inlet. You might even spot a seal! We live just outside of Boston and have spent lots of time on the Cape. This was the best experience for our family by far. Hope to find a place like this when we retire. Until then, we will definitely be back, unless this ringing endorsement leaves us locked out of prime weeks. Thanks so much!

Well maintained and clean cottage with great access to Ridgevale Beach. Had all amenities needed.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time here at this cottage. Mike provides everything needed for a relaxing stay and being so close to the beach certainly made it easy. The fishing off the beach was great...many, many stripers and a few blues. If you like to fish, Joe with Cape Cod Charters is a great guide in the area. And if sushi interests you, Bluefins Sushi and Saki Bar in downtown Chatham is fantastic! Don't forget a trip to the Chatham Pier where the daily fishing boats bring in their catch, the well fed seals hang out, and the chowder there is delicious! Love the Cape, loved our time on Patterson Street. We will be back!

Perfect for families

  • 5 of 5

This house is the perfect location for families -short walk to beach that has lifeguard, snack bar, great area for kids to play and look for little sea creatures/kayak etc. The house is immaculately clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Chatham is a great town and there are so many things restaurants, shopping, ice cream only a short drive from house.

We can't wait to return next year!!

Chatham is the quintessential Cape Cod village with a beautiful tree-lined Main Street with quaint shops and restaurants. Ridgevale Beach is the perfect combination of ocean side and tidal basin estuary beaches. The ocean offers fresh breezes and gentle waves while the tidal side provides warm water with a gentle current flow and shallow sandy shoals teaming with tidal sea life. Ideal for ocean sailing and tidal kayaking. Ridgevale Beach has a snack bar for lunch and our beach house is close enough for bathroom breaks and afternoon naps. No need to use the Ridgevale beach parking ($), which also limits the number of beach goers. A private association wooden bridge is available to walk to a more secluded section of the beach.

Other Activities: Biplane flights available at Chatham Airport
