Peaceful, quiet and a good relaxing time
Was everything we read and more. Has everything you need. We fished, feasted, relaxed and laughed. The fishing pier was my go to spot. Caught catfish, bass and alligator gar. ( we threw them back) one gar was 5 feet 40 plus pounds. Was a thrill. The evenings were great. The amount and typed of birds was awesome. Will go again.
We really enjoyed our stay. It really seemed like we were in the middle of nowhere. Which was kind of nice. Our boys are 4, 6, 12, 17 and 20. We enjoyed jumping off the deck, swimming, and fishing (lots of fishing). My favorite part of the house is the large deck with the really large table surrounded by all the trees. All our meals were had out there. The trees separating us from the lake gave me peace of mind with my youngest. It was just a peaceful place to be. The house had everything we needed and more. Beautiful sunrises. I'd rent the house again.
The setting, in the trees, is great.
Very nice place to stay with beautiful views! Would recommend any one to stay here! My grandkids loved it!!!
Best of both worlds - Secluded, yet very convenient
Just returned from a 4-night stay at The Treehouse, and already I feel like this will become a regular go-to destination for a quick getaway with my family. The home feels very private, being the last house on a dead-end street. But its just 2 minutes to the nearest convenience stores, 10 minutes from a grocery store, and maybe 20 minutes back into Huntsville. The home was very well-kept, clean and organized. Every bit as beautiful as in the pictures. And the wildlife on the property was great as well, a lot of squirrels and cardinals in the area. And this one raccoon that would cut across the back deck late at night, eating as many bugs as he could catch.
And the owner Cherise was awesome, too. I think she manages things through her cell phone, and responded within minutes when I had a question. Overall, I would definitely recommend a stay at this place. As far as lakeside vacations go, it has everything you could ask for.
Lake Livingston offers a couple of family-friendly on-the-water restaurants including The Farmhouse on the Lake and Indian Hills Restaurant as well as a 21+ on-the-water bar & grille called The Wet Deck. You’ll only be 21 miles from Huntsville if you need any of the chain stores or restaurants, 8 miles to Onalaska for donuts, pizza or a grocery store and 14 miles from downtown Coldspring which is as cute as can be. We’re also LESS THAN ONE MILE from Pearls in the Pines wedding venue so a perfect spot for visiting wedding guests.
