Beautiful Historic House with really cool antiques.
Loved the house. Wonderfully decorated. A must stay house for travellers passing through beautiful SE Iowa.
Really wonderful people loved having them would love to have again
This Historic town is full of historic architecture, History and beauty. Mark Twain worked as a printer here his Mothers home is here and this a place for the ones that are creative and want to get away from it all to Write, Create Art, or just get their thoughts together. Once you see some of the fantastic people of Keokuk you might want to move here too.

Why David Romaine chose Keokuk
The Box cottage was a Arictectual Diamond in the rough full of charm but hidden by neglect It came with the Johnstone Mansion but truthfully was there to watch over the construction of the Johnstone. because it was moved to Keokuk from Ft. Madison in the 1840's.
