Come enjoy our private, one-bedroom guest home located a few blocks from the business district. We are on Oak Street, which is extremely pedestrian friendly. There is a sidewalk all the way into town, which is rare for Sandpoint. Evans Brothers Coffee and the Pine Street Bakery are only 3-4 blocks away, and you can literally see Pine Street Park from our driveway. We are a licensed nightly rental, so you don't need to worry about us getting shutdown after you've made a reservation.
The guest home is not attached to the main house, but shares the courtyard, deck, and entry to our garage. It has a nice-sized bedroom with a wonderfully comfortable KING bed, and a fold-out sofa with a TWIN mattress. We also have a pack-n-play upon request. Our twin bed sleeps one adult, or two children; it would not be large enough for two adults to share. If you need additional sleeping space, we have a deluxe cot available upon request. Please note; maximum occupancy is four, regardless of age. It is not ideal for four adults, but if you want to try it's fine with us.
The kitchen is stocked with the basics. There is a TV with a DVD player and DISH satellite service. There is free WIFI. There is plenty of on and off street parking, and Oak Street is wide enough you could park a boat, RV, or trailer without causing a traffic issue. The shared outdoor space is resort-like, and is a fantastic location to enjoy some quiet time. The grill is available for use, but the fireplace is off limits. There is a mud room at the bottom of the stairs with storage for dirty shoes. We also have two cruiser bikes you're welcome to take out, but we also ride them and can't guarantee they'll always be waiting. If you let us know ahead of time when you'd like to ride them, we'll make sure not to be on them. We are located at Oak and N. Ella Ave., which are both identified on the Sandpoint City Recreation Map as designated bike routes.
If you are traveling with children, please be aware of the 1/2-wall above the staircase. Even with a gate across the stairs, a climbing toddler (or rambunctious teen/adult) could possibly fall over the wall. You should be able to identify this wall in the photos of the living area. Because of the stairs and 1/2-wall I'm claiming this apartment as "not suitable for children"; however, children are welcome under constant adult supervision.
Well-mannered, house-trained dogs are considered, but you will need to send us a photo prior to arrival. No "aggressive breeds," as we have kids who like to pet every dog they see.
