3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, mountain and river views - sleeps 6 comfortably

Sit on the large back porch, or front porch, and enjoy the scenic views of your own personal river and mountain getaway. From the cottage you can walk down to the river and relax on your private dock, maybe even fish. Bring your boat or other water craft and take advantage of the boat ramp. Or, if the water is not for you then bring your backpack and go hiking, rock climbing, or hunting.

The RitchieTrail was just opened for a wonderful 2 mile hike up to prentice cooper - located just down the road at the Pot House. The Great TN wall is also located just a little ways past for hikers and or climbers.

The Fall is a beautiful time to be on the river with the bright colors covering the mountains.

Load up the family and visit downtown Chattanooga which offers such attractions as the Chattanooga Aquarium, Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga Lookouts, Historic Bluff View Art District,an array of restaurants, and many other attractions, including Riverbend Music Festival. Just a little further is where you will find Ruby Falls, Rock City, and the Incline Railway. All of which are just 20 minutes away!

About Robin

My name is Robin Phillips. This is the Home that I grew up in. There was a cabin in front that my Dad grew up in and that I lived in for a while. This house was built in 1972. When there are not guests staying, we are here having a good time. Thank you for staying and we hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Why Robin chose Lookout Valley Neighborhood Association

We are located on the Bank of the Tennessee River with mountains on every side. There are views at ever angle. Big yard and plenty of space for your family to get out side. 2 large porches to gather on and relax. So many adventures to be had.

Simply relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We just wanted a few days of stress relief and that’s what we got! There’s plenty to see and do nearby, but we were content to stay around the property and enjoy the riverfront! The home is simple but in good, clean condition and well-equipped. The visits from Tag the friendly boxer were a highlight! We’ll be back for sure!

Beautiful, Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing stay, thank you so much Robin! The house was clean and perfect for everything we needed. The location was perfect for us as it was close to hiking trails, downtown, and lookout mountain. We had an amazing vacation with memories to last a lifetime. My husband caught a bass off the dock, and we enjoyed roasting marshmallows by the fire pit at night, and relaxing on the rocking chairs in the mornings. The neighbors dog is so friendly, it was an added bonus to have him hang around with us every night, just wish we knew his name. Great family vacation...Thank You again Robin and we hope to be back soon.

Nice place to stay; secluded and peaceful.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here with our 4 children (ages 7-14) when we came for a conference in Chattanooga. Quick drive to the city (7.7 miles to city center), close to many outdoor activities (including trails, Signal Point, Rock City) with a boat dock and ramp in the back yard. We fished off of the dock, didn't access the ramp d/t the river waters being high and pretty swift. The home was acceptably clean, fit 6 comfortably.

I would actually give it 4.5 stars, even though it is in a convenient location, the road to the home is narrow, with no shoulder and it was a little crowded when meeting traffic while hauling a boat.

Overall, great experience.

Cozy, relaxing, great views and convenient

Robin,

Thank you for opening this home. It was the perfect place for our girls' weekend. We had a great balance of relaxing at the house (especially on the back porch) and enjoying downtown Chattanooga, which was an easy Uber ride away.

We had a wonderful time in this cozy house on the river. It was a great home base for our adventures. There was plenty of room for all of us. The setting was gorgeous and quiet but close to many conveniences. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

This home place is perfect. We love the water and wanted a weekend getaway on the Tennessee river. We couldn't have been more pleased with the house, the location, mostly the peaceful and beautiful surroundings here.
