9 room Queen Anne Victorian on Avon Hill, a highly desirable historic district in Cambridge. It sits on a quiet, treed street near Mass. Ave., a few blocks from Harvard Square, Harvard University, Lesley College, and the subway which takes you to MIT in 10 minutes and downtown Boston in 20. The house is our home when we are in Cambridge other times of the year. There is a 30 night minimum, thanks to cambridge’s new ordinance.
First floor has five rooms (living room, dining room, den, bedroom, and kitchen); on the second floor are four more rooms, including 3 bedrooms and a study. There are 2.5 bathrooms, and amenities including air conditioning, cable, internet, treadmill desk, piano, a large library, front and back porches overlooking large gardens, laundry, etc. Although fully renovated, all the Victorian features -- skylights, arches, built-in cabinetry, fireplace, turret windows -- have been preserved. The kitchen is large and modern. Tandem parking for two cars is included. There is a small, occupied attic apartment with a separate entrance.
