We are on over 18 acres of beautiful lakefront property on Lake Lewisville! You can walk down to the lake or drive your vehicle to within 50 feet of the shoreline. Enjoy sunrise over the lake from the deck with your morning coffee and sunset over the pasture. Our longhorn cattle provide a further picturesque environment for your enjoyment! We are truly an oasis in the middle of the DFW suburbs. 35 miles from Dallas, 2 miles from groceries, and restaurants, 12 miles from Denton, about the same from Dallas North Tollway and only 7 or 8 miles from Little Elm city center. You can ski, fish, boat and swim right in front of our property or go for a 10 minute ride by boat to the main lake. Anchor right here in front of the property to keep your boat conveniently located during your stay! In addition, the fishing is superb right here off of our bank as you can see in the picture from one of our most recent renters! Private gated drive and plenty of parking space. If you like the peace and quiet, wildlife and country living while still being close to the suburbs, this is the place for you.

This is a wonderful place to go for peace and quiet. Pete is a wonderful host and helpful. We cooked our whole Thanksgiving dinner and had the best meal along with the ambiance of the place and the lake. Will be coming back.
Really enjoyed meeting you having you guys visit Sue! Glad y'all enjoyed the stay and you are most definitely welcome back anytime! I'm still wanting those recipes! :)
Awesome cabin, very comfortable
Great place, the lake, the Long Horns, and close to town.
Very comfortable, awesome host.
Will definitely be back
Perfect In-Town Getaway to Relax!
What a great spot to get away from the concrete jungle of Dallas! We were 35 minutes from home but it felt like you were at a far away secluded lake.
We were in the 'smaller cabin' with 2 bed/1 bath and it was just the right amount of space for a few adults and couple dogs. The Patio/back yard is fenced so its great for dogs, maybe not small dogs because they could easily get through the cattle fencing, but larger dogs are totally fine. Our dogs loved watching the cattle and it was nice to be able to not have to have eyes on them every second. There is a nice little patio to enjoy in the early morning, late evening- there isn't too much shade on it but its nice at those times.
The beds were comfortable and they had most of the bare necessities.
Pete was super easy to get ahold of if we had any question and was very accommodating.
The entire property is 18 acres with a private shoreline, however you do have to drive from the small cabin to the lake as it has a different gate. This wasn't very clear in the original listing but it didn't end up being a big deal at all. You can walk through the cow pasture if you like but we chose to just drive to the other gate to access the lake. There are a couple of cottages on the property, only 1 was being used when were there and we barely saw/heard the neighbors in general.
We were able to pull a pontoon boat up to the shore and beach it over night so it was super accessible for water fun!
We will definitely be calling Pete when we are ready for another staycation :)
Great place to stay. Hosts Pete and Gretchen were wonderful. Can't wait to stay again!
We needed a short term rental while our house purchase was going through closing. I'm so glad we found this house. It was a nice getaway, stores and restaurants were close. The lake was nice and the Longhorns were captivating. We plan on renting again for a weekend getaway. Highly recommended for families looking for a country stay with urban needs.
Nice lake getaway
Took my two teenage boys for a quick getaway here. We loved that it was easy to get to and actually close to stores, etc, while actually giving you a feeling of being out in the country. The longhorns were awesome to see up close and the lake is very swim-able compared to other parts of Lake Lewisville. The cabin was amply stocked with nearly everything (hey Pete put a cookie sheet in there) we needed to prepare our meals and the beds were comfy. We will be back!
Great meeting you guys and we really enjoyed having you stay with us!! Come back and see us anytime!
Cookie sheet on the way!!
