Guestbook comments from the manager

Xmas 2010- We had a wonderful and idyllic Xmas break. Durango is a fantastic place and the area has lots of outdoor opportunities. We skied Purgatory twice (one day in 2 feet of powder!!!) snowshoed at Valllecito Reservoir, hiked part of the Colorado Trail and also the trail behind the house, made it to the top of Animas mountain, enjoyed Mesa Verde in the snow (spectacular!) and drove across Molas Pass to Silverton and Ouray. We're are looking forward to being back!

Quaint and cozy

  • 4 of 5

We had great long weekend in this little Cabin in the Woods. It was close enough to everything but felt far away. We loved that it was up against a rocky trail which our little pup loved. The cabin is small but the screened-in porch provided extra room. The bed was big and very comfortable. The cabin could use some updating and a quieter heading unit but overall we had a nice stay and would reccommend.

Stunning views, homey cabin. We’ll be back !!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a bit rustic with a very small hot water heater. It’s also pretty tight quarters for fully grown adults, Loft has sleeping area wih 3 foot tall ceiling and ladder entrance.

These things did not keep us from enjoying the place and all the hiking. Short drive to Silverton or Mesa Verde. Gave the opportunity for us to enjoy the less travelled areas of beautiful Colorado.

It’s got a nice grill and outside sitting area, although to cold to enjoy on this visit. We’ll plan to return in the summer months.

Cozy cabin outside the city

  • 5 of 5

Quiet property far enough away to be private, close enough that it is quick to get into town. A few minutes from the grocery store. The only downside is that the furnace is pretty loud when sitting in the living room, and the wifi is slow (as another review pointed out to me). But the bed is comfortable and we enjoyed our stay!

We spent three tranquil nights at this lovely cabin! The location was perfect--close to downtown, yet away from the hustle & bustle & nestled in the trees. We loved having such a spot as home base for cooking, stargazing & rejuvenating our souls. It could not have been better! Thank you Lana for everything! We look forward to returning--and bringing our family & friends!
