About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + bunkhouse and 2 baths, (Sleeps 10)

Incredible Architect designed Adirondack Style (2008) waterfront cottage located in a quiet area of Sebago Lake on desirable Raymond Cape. The cottage sits 35 feet from the water where there is a wonderful, kid friendly large clean sandy beach and fire pit. Walk right in to go swimming or boating.

The property boasts a very unique deck that sits virtually 'on top of the water'. A fabulous, private location to have evening cocktails or sun bathe for the day. The views will relax and soothe you. Maybe even stay out there for dinner.

In the evening you can retire to the large screened porch where you can play games or read a good book or just take a snooze! You don't miss a thing from here because you are looking right out to the lake only 35 feet away!

We have a separate bunk house 50 feet behind the main cottage that sleeps two more in bunk beds. The bunk house has electric power and lights.

Sebago Lake offers fabulous fishing, boating, swimming and numerous other summer activities. Bring your boat or USE OUR CANOE FOR FREE and enjoy long summer days on the lake. There is a mooring available for your use (at your own risk) or tie up on your private beach.

No smoking is allowed in the cottage. One pet, dog or cat, is allowed for an additional non-refundable $300 pet fee (per week). New water well installed in 2008!

About John Donahoe

I am a licensed architect and professional musician. You can find me playing saxophone and electric violin at various venues in the southern Maine lakes region during the summer season. Stop by and say hello.

John Donahoe purchased this house in 2007

Why John Donahoe chose Raymond

When I saw the location of this cottage I saw magic. I put in an offer and as soon as we closed on the property I tore down the old shack and designed and built a new 'adirondac style' cottage in the same location. With a huge sandy beach and shallow entry in a quiet cove ... This is one sweet property!

It is a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

The location of the cabin is in a beautiful setting as described. The cabin is in a calm and quiet cove and very relaxing. The screened in porch was perfect for all of our meals! The sandy beach was wonderful for my grandchildren, they loved being in the water. We enjoyed the ferry to Frye Island , which is a short walk away. The fire pit was great for S'Mores!! We rented a boat and spent a day on the lake which is spectacular. The property was well maintained. Any issues that we had were immediately taken care of. John was an absolute pleasure to deal with, he was very responsive. It was truly a wonderful 2 weeks! A great get away!

Charming and clean lakehouse on gorgeous lake!

  • 4 of 5

We had a lovely stay here, and luckily on the hottest week of the year! The house is nicely updated with wooden floors throughout. The sandy beach and clear water were a huge plus for us and our 4-year olds, as we were out in the water multiple times a day. The screened porch was also a big bonus; we ate there almost every meal. One bedroom has doors that open up right onto that porch so the morning views are lovely. We enjoyed the deck and fire pit and Frye Island and bald eagle sightings and visits from the ice cream truck throughout the week as well. Really a perfect little corner of the lake! The only feedback I have is that I don't think this place sleeps 10 *comfortably.* While the bunk house was being repaired the week we were there, having 6 adults and 2 kids in the main house was really pushing it (two adults had to sleep on the top bunks). There's also just one 3-seater couch in the living room, so if you anticipate any time watching movies/sports or hanging out inside if there's rain, it can feel quite crowded. The space is exactly as pictured, but is on the petite side. Luckily, there's plenty of outdoor space to make up for it. I would be happy to visit again, and would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks so much, John!

Owner's Response: Glad you enjoyed your stay. The Bunkhouse repairs are completed. There are beds for 10 people for sleeping but it is not a large spacious house. More of a cute cottage.

Great vacation get away. Quiet beach for Kids!

  • 4 of 5

Property was clean and efficiently set up. Porch was great for family dinner. Bunk house was used for family who liked a little privacy and could use internet for work. Deck over the water was a favorite hang out. Went to Maine Wildlife Park with kids, loved it! Would recommend this for those who want to get away with the conveniences such as groceries, restaurants, and sites!

Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

Cute cottage on a quiet cove with lots of amenities. Used his canoe and also brought kayaks. Rented a boat and teens had fun tubing and skiing. Saw the Eagle's nest, jumped off Frye's leap, hit the drive-in in Bridgton, Seacoast Adventure and disc golfing. Spent nights star gazing on the deck! John called to make sure we were all settled in, etc. Great lake getaway.

Excellent lakefront cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lakefront cottage late August 2017 and had an amazing time. The posted description of the property is accurate. The cottage is well maintained and clean with hardwood floors throughout. Excellent large screened porch overlooking the lake was great for evening dinners. Very nice sandy beach that was great for the kids. There is a deck over the water that gives a nice view of the beach so it was easy to keep an eye on the kids swimming. The fire pit on the beach is a few yards from the water. I would highly recommend the property.
