Great summer cottage with access to private beach
We had a wonderful 2 week vacation at the Miller's Bridge St. cottage in July. This traditional 4 bedroom cape has been in the Miller family for 3 generations but was completely updated last year. Everything is new! Comfortable beds, new comforters, new kitchen appliances, great living room for family gatherings and a large dining area/sunroom. We walked to the private beach and rode bikes to Falmouth Heights and into town. I would have given the house 5 stars if it had central conditioning. There were fans downstairs and window AC units in 2 bedrooms upstairs. We were comfortable but it wasn't particularly hot when we were there. The Millers were great hosts. They provided extra linens that we forgot and were there to show us around upon arrival.
Beautiful Home, Neighborhood, & Private Beach
This was the first time that my family had vacationed in Falmouth after spending decades vacationing on the mid-Cape. I must say that Falmouth is absolutely gorgeous, and in particular the East Falmouth area where this beautiful property is located. This property is not a mere cottage by any means, and is well thought out in the planning, decorating, and overall functionality of it. This home is located in a pristine neighborhood that is safe, private, and shared by other beautiful properties and neighbors. The private beach is literally a three-minute walk across the street and was by far one of the best in the area. The boardwalk to get onto the sand was a great feature and they had a beach volleyball net and court set up in a designated area for use. Sand and swimming was very nice, and the water was relatively calm for those with young kids. It is clearly a beach where you can put down your chairs and umbrella, set the kids up with their sand toys and floats, and let them do their thing without having to be constantly worrying about them.
The house itself is extremely functional for families, and has well-appointed bedrooms that are very comfortable and have air. Both the upstairs and downstairs are very spacious and provide ample room for guests to go off into their own areas. There are many of the creature comforts of home with Smart T.V.s, DVD Player, WIFI, and Netflix which comes in very handle with kids. Also having an outdoor shower along with a washer & dryer was an added bonus. Probably one of the biggest draws to this property is that while it is well decorated throughout, it has been done in such a way that you do not have to worry about there being an abundance of breakables or antiques for those who are vacationing with smaller children. Overall, our family had a wonderful week in Falmouth while staying at this house, and it is definitely one which we highly recommend and will consider for future vacations to the Cape.
Great Falmouth rental
We had a wonderful week in Falmouth. The house is beautiful and very nicely redone recently. The private association beach is a short walk and not at all crowded, unlike the main beaches in town.
Close to the water and a nice neighborhood
Our family was one of the first to experience the 2016 season and the amazing upgrade to this lovely cape adjacent to Green Pond. We were very comfortable with the modern kitchen, upgraded living quarters and many of the amenities that came with our week on the cape.
Our hosts were very accommodating to our needs and questions and provided many insights and tips of where to explore in Falmouth. The beach access was clearly a highlight of our stay as well as our walks around the surrounding neighborhoods.
We look forward to a return very soon.
Awesome Location & Very Comfortable for 10 people
My family and I stayed at this home over a long weekend and absolutely loved it. This home is well stocked with all the amenities and is located in a lovely neighborhood that is a short walk to a private beach and bike path. The owners of this property were very helpful during the booking process. I'd recommend this home especially for 2 families.
Awesome location and very comfortable
This home's location is truly fantastic. It was central to our morning activities of kayaking and bicycling and the adorable town of Falmouth. The private beach is literally right up the road and we thoroughly enjoyed coming back to the house early afternoon and walking over to the beach. The house is very comfortable and spacious and immaculate and the owners were a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this property to future guests.
