About Larry Cassida

My husband is retired and im a hairdresser in Indiana

Larry Cassida purchased this condo in 2010

Why Larry Cassida chose Alabama

We fell in love with this property because of our grandkids coming to the beach .they love the marine life here, the shelling ,the three pools and the adventure island across the street.

What makes this condo unique

We chose the ground floor with the grass outside so the kids could play without the fear of a balcony.

Relaxing Weekend

  • 3 of 5

My friends and I spent the weekend here to celebrate a friend's wedding. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated, and they even provided games, books, and beach toys (we didn't use them, but I'm sure a family with children could!). The beach was just a short walk away, and the condo itself was in a great location, next to restaurants and attractions. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

However, after waiting several weeks, going on 2 months, I have not received my damage deposit back. I have called several times and left messages. I have even texted just in case they were busy and could respond later. I was told one time that it would be put back, but I have yet to see it.

This condo was great, and they were very nice people to rent from. I'm all about giving people the benefit of a doubt, so maybe they have been busy/forgot. However, I did not feel my review should exclude my problem seeing as I am now short a significant amount of money.

Enjoyed our stay!

  • 4 of 5

This was our first time renting a VRBO condo and it was a good experience. We enjoyed a relaxing week with awesome weather. We love coming to this area in Sept to celebrate our anniversary!

I would recommend calling the owners of this condo to book as they did not respond to our initial request thru the website.

The pictures do not represent the condo exactly, it has been redecorated and had some upgrades. Also it says side view of the beach; you cannot see the beach from this room. There is a sidewalk outside the back patio door that leads directly to the pool AND the boardwalk that provides beach access.

They provided everything a person could possibly need for a week at the beach! Loved having a full kitchen to cut down on food costs and there is a Walmart nearby.

We enjoyed visiting the Pensacola Naval Air Museum (you could spend 1/2 day here easily - very cool!), the Blue Angels have a free "practice" show once or twice a week. It was a 20-25 min drive from the condo, bring your own chairs if you can (or rent them there) and take your ID!

The Battleship Memorial Park in in Mobile and easy to get to, straight up 59 for an hour and about 10 min west on I-10. It's $15/pp entry and you have almost complete access to the battleship. There is a submarine there you can explore as well.

We didn't eat out a lot but I have to recommend trying Lambert's in Foley. Delicious and very popular; arrive early. We arrived about 6 on a Monday and by 7 the line was out the door. On a Friday we arrived 5:30 and by 6 it was out the door. Super fun and way too much food! :)

Wonderful condo and amazing location !!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our 3 girls spent the week in Orange beach. The condo was very clean, updated recently , and very well decorated. We could not get over how many things were supplied - all beach toys you could want, towels , tennis rackets, even flip flops if you forgot yours. The kitchen had everything that could be needed - just bring paper towels if it's something you use. The beach was a very short walk on a private side walk, tennis courts right outside doors and 2 pools to enjoy!

Our group loved the white sand and the water - even though one day the jellyfish were terrible!!!! We para sailed with Chute Em Up and went on dolphin cruise aboard the cold mil fleet. Both were great!!!! We ate at many of the local restaurants - live bait, papa Rocco's , Lambert's (of course), Franco's and Lulus for the girls!!! Larry and Debi were very quick to return our calls , easy to talk with , and we enjoyed renting there beautiful place! We hope to return next year!! Thanks so much guys for sharing your place!

Sun, sand, and plenty to see and do!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here the 2nd week in September. This spacious condo was nicely decorated in a beach theme….which any Jimmy Buffett fan would approve! The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of pots/pans, plates, silverware, and any kitchen utensil you would ever need. Coffee maker and toaster were also there.

The living room had a nice flat screen TV. There was a smaller flat screen in each of the bedrooms as well. Wifi is available. I brought my Roku player and had no problem streaming Netflix. Plenty of closet space and drawer space in both bedrooms. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan.

The condo is located on the first floor which I found convenient. No climbing up and down stairs! It’s just a very short walk down the sidewalk to the white sand beach. The grounds are kept very clean.

As for the surrounding area…there is plenty to see and do for everyone! Miniature golf and two arcades are located directly across the street. Publix, Winn Dixie, and Walmart Neighborhood Market are conveniently located.

Pensacola is only about 45 minutes away. I would highly suggest visiting the National Naval Aviation Museum (home of the Blue Angels!) in Pensacola. Admission is free! Make sure to leave yourself plenty of time to see everything. We were told at the museum the Blue Angels actually practice there most Tuesdays and Wednesdays and that is free and open to the public as well.

Another highlight was the Dolphin Sightseeing Tour. The tour started out a little slow...but eventually picked up with several dolphins swimming along side the boat and jumping out of the water! I got several great pics and videos.

There is a very nice Carmike movie theater at The Wharf. This theater was a former Rave movie theater that was purchased by Carmike. This theater offers Digital Projection, Stadium seating, very comfortable seats with PLENTY of leg room even for you big guys (I'm 6'5" and I had enough leg room!)

Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this condo. The location is great! Very close to the beach and plenty to see and do in the immediate and surrounding areas. Really looking forward to staying here again!

Labor Day Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This beautifully decorated condo was so comfy to stay at. It felt like home away from home! The beach is a short walk away. The beautiful white sands had plenty of seashells for those who like the collect them. We had a blast playing in the waves which were strong because of the nearby rain storms. We were lucky the storm went around us so we had a beautiful sunny weekend! We loved the fact the condo is on the first floor. Meaning no stairs or elevators, so convenient. The kitchen was newly renovated; nice backsplash and granite counter tops etc. It was fully stocked with plates, cups, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster etc. The master bedroom, guest bedroom and living room had new flat screen tvs. The tennis court is right outside if you feel like getting a few rounds in. There are two outdoor pools you can enjoy as well as an indoor pool. In the same building of the indoor pool, there’s a sauna. The indoor pool/sauna is located next to the tennis court. Our only complaint is that the master bedroom door was pretty hard to open/shut. But that’s it! We enjoyed staying at this lovely condo and hope to stay here again on our next vacation!

P.S. I took some recent photos since their renovation. Visit:

Fantastic Location

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I rented the condo for the Hangout Music Festival and to enjoy some rest and relaxation. Although I travel for work weekly, I normally stay in hotels so I didn't know what to expect from renting a condo as far as amenities. The condo was well stocked with towels, linens, and every possible kitchen gadget you can imagine. The condo itself was quiet, roomy, and clean. The pictures don't do it justice! My only recommendation would be to provide a more detailed list of items that are available in the condo. Would have saved us a stop and $ to purchase items such as dish soap, sponges, and and coffee filters when there were more than plenty on site. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!! Hope to do it again soon!
