Amazing views of the ocean and the intercoastal waterway surround the home.

This is a warm and welcoming North Carolina beach home, not a generic rental property. This home is owned and carefully maintained by a family who treasures the NC coast. No management company to deal with; no hidden charges, no costly add-ons, no turnstile office experience when you and your family arrive to check in.

It's your family's summer vacation- wedding- reunion- special get together- whatever the occasion, you deserve to be treated well! Expect enthusiasm, responsiveness, and concern for your family's needs as you make your vacation plans. Your family having a wonderful time at the beach is important to us, and we want to do all we can to make sure you have a wonderful time.

You will find this home well stocked with beach equipment, books, movies, toys, games- all updated regularly. With plenty of room for multiple families to spread out- over 3,700 square feet of living space on 4 floors with high ceilings and beautiful pine hardwood floors. Charming antiques, comfortable furniture, original art, relaxing outdoor decks- you'll feel right at home. Coastal camper families? We are a 45 minute drive to Camp Seagull, Seafarer, Don Lee, and many more. The Trinity Center is only 15 minutes away.

Special features of the home include: Two full kitchens, a 4th floor kids’ playroom decorated with custom 'Blackbeard the Pirate' mural by a North Carolina artist, WiFi throughout, 52' flatscreen TV and entertainment center, wireless internet, 5 outdoor decks, 2 screened porches, freight elevator for groceries and luggage, new appliances, outside hot shower and gated privacy fence around property.

Atlantic Beach is located on the southern outer banks of North Carolina, in an area known as the Crystal Coast. Besides relaxing and having fun on the beach, there’s plenty to do while you visit. We send our guests a welcome package with links, contact info and descriptions of area activities, including:

Go antiquing, shopping, or enjoy great restaurants in Atlantic Beach, Morehead City or Beaufort. Tour historic places like the NC Maritime Museum and Fort Macon State Park. Visit the incredible NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, about 5 miles away. Take a day trip to Ocracoke Island by ferry and visit some of Blackbeard's haunts. Watch the big boats haul in a prize catch at the Big Rock Billfish Tournament. Spend the day at Cape Lookout National Seashore; the deserted island that boasts the diamond shoals lighthouse and a herd of the spectacular wild Shackleford ponies, where whole Atlantic Whelk shells wash up on shore.

Go fishing: inshore, off shore, or off the pier…Atlantic Beach is a boater's delight and marina access is only a few blocks from the house. Check out the Morehead City waterfront when the fishing boats unload their catch of the day. Play golf at the nearby courses. Enjoy fantastic waterfront restaurants for the adults, or family-friendly places if you have the kids in tow. Ride bikes. Read. Walk the beach… Do as much as you want, or as little as you want, just ENJOY!

About Bethany

We live in North Carolina with our 3 sons. Our family has enjoyed Atlantic Beach for over 20 years. Our sons love Camp Seagull which is located about 45 minutes away. Boating, beach combing, and exploring Ft. Macon and other area historical sites are our favorite things to do.

Bethany purchased this house in 2004

Why Bethany chose Central Coast

For years we looked at beach property up and down the Carolina coasts. We chose Atlantic Beach for its unbeatable combination of natural beauty, history, and authentic character. Atlantic Beach is a uniquely North Carolina beach, with area history dating back to the 1700's. Nearby Morehead City and Beaufort offer casual and fine dining, boutiques, art galleries, and a boater's paradise. The beaches are wide, full of shells, and not too crowded. Our neighborhood is just that- a neighborhood, with families enjoying the North Carolina coast the way they have for generations.

We find this area to be the perfect destination for a beach trip- for families, for reunions, for gatherings of friends.

What makes this house unique

We are located 2 miles down the island from Ft. Macon State Park...a beautiful and historic 400-acre park right on the tip of the island, with gorgeous views of the ocean and sound from every angle. Our home is also just a 5-7 minute ride from the newest North Carolina Aquarium, in Pine Knoll Shores. The sharks that swim with the sunken German submarine are our favorite, and the sea turtles a close second.

Though these national-caliber attractions are very close, the house is so comfortable, you'll have a fabulous vacation even if you never venture out. The beautiful beach is only 200 footsteps away from our back door, through a sandy trail in the natural dune area that gives our house it's privacy. The views from our home of the ocean and sound are gorgeous. Enjoy the oceanside and soundside decks the house offers for relaxation (there are 7 total decks).

The beach house is 3,700 square feet- stocked with games, movies, books and toys. We keep the house updated and very comfortable so you'll feel you are visiting a friend's home, not staying in a bland, impersonal, rental house or hotel.

Great Retirement Surprise Party Location

  • 5 of 5

This house is amazing. We had my husband's surprise retirement party in September with plenty of room for all! The house is beautifully decorated with all the amenities. The owner was easy to reach for any questions and very accommodating. Our family and friends felt comfortable and at home in this lovely beach house. Hope we get the chance to rent again.

Southern charm at it's finest!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this family friendly beach house! The house is in immaculate condition. I felt like I was staying at a home listed in Coastal living. Very chic and up to date. Plenty of room for several families to spread out comfortably. The house is extremely clean and didn't see any bugs. All appliances & furniture appear to be new. The kitchen is fully stocked. The back porches have several nice relaxing couches to enjoy the sunset. The family room is spacious with a large couch & sofa for everybody to hang out on & watch movies or play board games. The dining room table is perfect for large families. The elevator is a plus for taking up groceries. The views of the ocean are gorgeous & it only takes a few minutes to walk over the dunes to the beach. Neighbors are all very friendly. The house is located on a quiet street. The backyard is fenced in. Perfect location. The fort is only a few minutes away, a grocery store is also a few minutes away & lots of seafood restaurants around as well as a seafood market. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this house. The pictures do not do it justice! The owner is excellent to work with & fast to answer questions. This is by far our favorite rental home & we usually rent 3 homes a year on the east coast.

Amazing rental property!!!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures really don't do this house justice - it is sooooo much more spacious than the pictures look! And the views are just amazing. Definitely an awesome rental property! Plus the owner was awesome to work with, very responsive and informative. I would highly recommend this rental.

Fantastic experience all-around

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to the Southern Outer Banks with very little background before we stumbled upon this home on VRBO. In many instances the photographs overly glamorize a home and you walk in expecting to be let down, but our experience coming into this home was exactly the opposite. As we walked up each floor it was breathtaking-the decor, the views of both sound and ocean, the comfort, the well-stocked home and kitchen-we were absolutely spoiled by this home. The freight elevator was a great convenience, the top floor suite was great for our kids, and it had everything we needed. To top it off, the beach is wide with soft sand, the shelling is great, and it was never crowded. All the beach gear you need is available in the garage, and the home is wired to keep you entertained and connected. The owner was responsive and a delight to work with. You cannot go wrong with this property.

Beautiful Place Beautiful Memories

  • 5 of 5

Our family ages 14 months to 88 recently spent a week at the crystal coast in this lovely rental. It was perfect for our family. Lovely views, short walk to the beach, room to gather and room to have privacy! Nicely decorated, great kitchen for cooking, outside grilling and conveniently located to anywhere we chose to visit! Would highly recommend the VRBO! Also the owner Bethany was delightful to work with! Always reachable! Great place to enjoy The Salt Life!!! CKH

Great Office/Family Getaway Place!

  • 5 of 5

Our small family owned business held our annual sales meeting weekend here. We had a total of 11 people, and it was perfect! We all had our own rooms and bathrooms. The owners were very helpful whenever we had a question. We enjoyed a late evening walk on the beach to the pier and back, were able to see fireworks at the circle from the upstairs deck, and grilled our dinners while the children played in the yard. This is a great house and the owners made you feel very welcomed! Plenty of things to do in the house, and the information booklet was very helpful! Loved it!
