Wonderful cabin, great views
We had an excellent January get-away. If I could have taken the master bed home in a suitcase I would have - it is so comfortable!. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we (four sisters) appreciated that there was plenty of private space as well as great space for being together. We loved the pellet stove. We walked on the beach near the cabin & saw an eagle and seals; town is nearby and has a great grocery store and fun shops. We'd love to come back again.
Terrific home away from home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Vashon Island. The property is wonderful. Anyone wanting to visit the city of Seattle should think about staying on Vashon Island. We cannot wait to go back during the summer to enjoy all of the outdoor activities the island has to offer.
This home was perfect for our trip to explore Washington! Upon arrival we were greeted with a bottle of wine on the table which was a very nice detail we normally do not experience. The home had everything we needed, from kitchen paper to all cooking necessities. The master bedroom mattress is the ABSOLUTE BEST I’ve ever slept in. However, the size of the shower is less than average for the norm (my only complaint). The view of the sunset from the balcony was breathtaking, especially for Washington’s reputation of gloominess. We had the best weather during our stay in September. The rooms do not have TVs but to our surprise we found this to be a positive. We spent most of our time chatting outside over a glass of wine and truly enjoying the scenery. The owner of the home had a folder with ideas for exploring which was another plus. We explored Vashon and walked to the nearby beach less than 10 minutes away. Overall our experience was 10/10. Thank you for sharing your perfect home with us!
This was truly a hidden gem. My family and I absolutely loved the island. So much to see. Down town Seattle was a little overwhelming to park and move around. But the island was a little piece of heaven. The hardware restaurant is an absolute must. We will absolutely be back. Wish we had water access from the house, but it's just a short walk.
