Come back to the Summer of '42 when life was simpler....
Welcome to our little house by the sea. Many of our guests have remarked that it reminds them of the little beach houses that were in place long before condominiums and seaside growth took off.
The house actually predates WWII, but was moved into place during the time that the Coast Guard had a presence nearby to defend against German U-boats active in the area. We invite you to use this historic setting to have morning coffee on the beach as the sun rises, move from front to back porch following the shade, cook out, swim, surf, shell, fish, watch the boats go by. The Usina bridge, a quarter mile south, will take you over the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway into St. Augustine (established 1565) for shopping, touring, fine dining, and entertainment. Take the time to relax and enjoy yourself with the simple pleasures of our little house at Vilano.
