We would love to welcome you into our wonderful beach front condo, where you will find yourself enjoying breathtaking views from your 14th floor balcony. Step out onto one of the longest and best private beaches for miles around. Picture yourself on the beach tanning in the provided chaise lounges, or reading in the shade under palapa umbrellas.

Casa Sally is an oceanfront condominium with 750 square feet, plus a balcony with amazing views in the Sea River Towers. Our condo is the perfect hub for all your vacation plans and adventures, close to everything- no rental car needed! It is centrally located in the Hotel Zone only 8 minutes from the airport and 8 minutes from downtown. The buses stop at the end of the driveway and will take you anywhere in town for around 60 cents, or taxis average $5.00!

Our ocean front Condo has an open floor plan with a king size bed and flat screen tv. The sunken living room is cozy with lots of seating to lounge or relax after a busy day in the sun or sightseeing. For your convenience, you will find a fully equipped kitchenette if you decide to prepare a nice meal in or just make a simple breakfast to enjoy while watching for whales or dolphins in the beautiful Banderas Bay in the morning.

Spent a month in this unit. We enjoyed it greatly. The bed was very comfortable which is a huge deal to us. A good sleep is essential to a good vacation. The condo had everything that we needed. As mentioned the view of the bay was stunning. Loved spending the evenings on the deck just watching the ocean and the city lights. Having a full sized fridge was a very nice addition to the suite.

This was our 2nd time in this condo. Last year we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the condo especially the view from the balcony. We found the tiny bar fridge inconvenient and upon returning home mentioned it to Jeff. This year we were delighted to find a brand new fridge. Our month long stay was terrific. We have no complaints with the condo. The resort is beautiful especially the pool. There are a few issues with the new ownership of the hotel however I understand they are working to resolving them. It would be nice to be able to purchase the odd meal or have a drink in the bar while watching the nightly entertainment

First let me say that the view from this room is spectacular!

The room is dated but comfortable.

Before you go you need to know that the Sunscape resort is now totally inclusive. Meaning that you can't enjoy the amenities of the resort such as going over for lunch or drinks or even water and pay as you go. When you check in to the condos you will be given a band to wear to identify you as a non-inclusive user. You must not cut the band off before you leave at the end of your stay or you will be fined up to $80 per person per day But wait, there's more. You have to pay $50 per person per day to enjoy any of their amenities other then the pool. You will be identified by a yellow band on your wrist that you are a all-inclusive user for the day. Now you are wearing two wristbands. A new one has to be put on every day that you choose to be inclusive. Also you will be identified by the color of towel you are given for the pool. The haves use orange towels and the have-nots use blue and white striped towels. If you choose not to go inclusive make sure you have enough pesos for the city bus or cab. Because of the isolated location you will have to drive or be driven to a restaurant or plan for a healthy walk. We did discover a open air restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Walk north on the beach past the resort next-door. Very nice people and great food, specializing in shrimp dishes.

Back to the condo. Other than having no water for showers on our last day, and having smoke from burning garbage filtering into the room from time to time the accommodations were adequate.

Owner's Response: First we would like to thank you again for being one of your guests. We try to do everything in our power to make your stay as nice as possible. As you pointed out there was really nothing wrong with the condo but your issues were with the resort. I can’t argue with your points as they are all accurate. What I would like to do is comment on them for future renters. 1) The condo is in the Hotel Zone and part of the Sunscape Resort (formally the Holiday Inn). The property actually isn’t far from town but the closest condo complex in the Hotel Zone. 2) As for restaurants not being close. There are four very nice options just at the end of the driveway across the street. The option on the beach, the guest mentioned, and over a dozen more within ¾ of a mile. 3) Change from Holiday Inn to Sunscape. Holiday Inn closed on Aug 15th. Sunscape was to reopen on Dec 1st. Which turned into Dec 15th with most restaurants not open until Dec 23rd. Construction continued until 1st week of January so any guest going before then had to put up with all the problems of being in an active construction zone. We didn’t rent condos until after Dec 15th just to be safe and that was still too early. The comments (including the water issue) about construction or loss of services where a real problem. They are behind us and not something future guests will have to put up with during their stay. 4) Sunscape is an All-inclusive resort. Sea River shares the grounds with the resort. At this writing, guests are not able to purchase anything without being part of the all-inclusive. In reality this is the same as 90% of all other condo complexes in Puerto Vallarta. Most locations don’t even have onsite restaurants or bars. Sunscape is nice enough to offer our guests all-inclusive for $50 instead of $80 for the full day. That is actually a good price for endless meals and all you can drink. (Prices subject to change) At least here at Sea River you have the option of AI. 5) We have always had to wear a wristband. Not sure why people get so upset when the all-inclusive people don’t have to wear them. They need some way to identify if you have purchased all-inclusive for the day or not. This is not a ‘have and have nots’, this is just allowing the staff to know if you have all-inclusive for the day. 6) All our guests can use all amenities of the resort including the pool, beach, lounges, gym, adult area, etc. All and all, there are many more positives than negatives.

excellent vacation

We arrived to find the condo exactly as described to us. The view from the deck was beautiful both day and night. The condo had everything we needed to cook clean eat and drink with. when we arrived the safe was locked and we couldn't get into it. We called the front desk and the property manager was there in five minutes and had it open and showed us how to reset the combination. we could not ask for a better vacation.

Stunning view; just don't look down

The view is stunning: 180 degrees means you will see sunrises and sunsets, water, mountains, & city views. If you look straight down, you will see what appears to be the garbage incinerator!! The balcony is small, the chairs are small & uncomfortable. The room is shabby, despite the glamour photos on the website. The tiny kitchen has a small fridge (which, according to other renters in the building, we should have been grateful for, as their rooms didn't have one), a two-burner countertop stove (very old, and very slow to heat up). When we first entered the room, the toilet had some kind of waste(!) dripping down the side. The floors were dirty, but also very slippery. We were told that this dirt was common, being so close to the sea? But if the room had been properly cleaned after the last renters, and the slider closed, the floor wouldn't have been that dirty. Speaking of the slider: there was no lock on it. It appeared that it had been removed some time ago. It took several days for someone to come and replace it, but they came when we were relaxing on the balcony, having dinner, without any notice. The room was advertised as having WiFi, but the box was gone upon our arrival, possibly stolen by the previous renters. It was replaced, but keep in mind that the internet was so slow as to be unusable. The pool was very nice, with a swim-up bar, but trying to find a towel, and KEEPING it, was a cutthroat business. You don't dare leave your chair for a minute, as housekeeping would come by and whisk it away. Speaking of the pool, let's talk about the noise. It is a very noisy property. There is constantly something going on, via microphone and loudspeakers, & the sound pours right into your room. Trivia, aerobics, zumba, bingo, fiestas etc., and of course, the garbage incinerator. The noise from this property competes with the noise from the neighbor resort. The result is chaotic. The condo has some kind of arrangement with Holiday Inn. We were told we could charge food and drinks to our room, but the bar did not get this message. For the first 4 days, we were hunted down as if we were "dine and dashers," receiving phone calls at our room to come down immediately to the pool and pay for our drinks.

We are not 1st-timers to Mexico. We've been many times to various cities and resorts, but this was the first bad experience we've had. We get that Mexico is not like the US, and we don't expect it to be. But we do expect things to be clean, and to feel welcome.

We always receive such praise for this condo and people thoroughly enjoy the property and all the activity that being on the Holiday Inn has to offer. We realize the salt air can make floors difficult to be squeaky clean and since most of our guests come from the far north and cold temps they welcome having the doorwalls open and be greeted with the ocean breezes. We sure wish you would have contacted us during your stay so that we could have had the opportunity to improve your visit.

Excellent spot to vacation

I stayed here the 2nd week of August 2010 and found it a prefect condo and location for me. Lots of different activities at the pool which are organized by the Holiday Inn. The pool was very large with a swim up bar. Quite a few Palapas right on the beach. Several nice restaurants. I was not able to try the Italian Restaurant because I only short pants and long pants are required. The menu looked very good though. Nice Bar inside the motel, with entertainment most nights. Located very close to a main blue bus line which makes getting into old town, Malecon boardwalk, and Romantica zone. I would recommend this place to stay.
