Welcome to our Couple's Retreat in the City Above the Clouds!
This one bed, one bath home is perfect for a couple or small family looking to get away and live like the locals in the mountains!
The home is nestled in the heart of historic downtown Woodland Park, Colorado. Built in 1899, it boasts the best of the best locations in town. It's walking distance to shops, restaurants and local breweries. Woodland Park's newly renovated Memorial Park is a half block away, where the city hosts local festivals and the famous Mountain Farmers Market! Kids can enjoy the playground and the creek that runs through while parents check out local booths and grab locally grown food to enjoy at your home away from home. The home has been renovated to make it a great place to spend some time with your loved ones while enjoying the benefits of being downtown.
The choices are endless with this little retreat. You can absorb the beauty of Colorado with great views of Pikes Peak, and even better hiking nearby including trails leading to Manitou Lake, or take on the famous American Discovery Trail which spans both Colorado and the continental United States. All of the Pikes Peak region's most popular attractions are within minutes. Go fly fishing in Deckers 20 minutes away, kayak at Catamount Reservoir or drive up Pikes Peak 10 minutes down the road! Colorado Springs is only a half hour away, and you'll see Green Mountain Falls, Red Rocks Open Space, Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods and Old Colorado City along the way.
If instead you're looking for a little R&R, Hot Heads Studio and Spa and Bliss Hair & Nails are on the same street. Make this your oasis in the center of town and get pampered from head to toe in Woodland Park. You can walk downtown for cocktails or a local brew after a day at the spa, or you can stay at home to cozy up by the wood burning fireplace with a glass of wine or some hot cocoa. If you're not ready to settle in for the night, head to Cripple Creek to try your hand at the casinos, or at least take in the amazing scenery!
The bedroom has a queen bed, and lots of space to unpack and make yourself at home. The bathroom is spacious and has a large tub with a shower. If you're bringing the little ones, the couch pulls out to make a twin bed. WiFi and a DVD/Blueray player with Smart technology keep your favorite shows at your fingertips. The kitchenette is stocked with everything you need to make a great meal. Or you can fire up the grill out back and enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather.
The Pikes Peak region is full of hidden gems. Let us help you plan a great trip!
