My husband & I found Amelia Island in 1990 when we transferred to Kings Bay, GA with the Navy. This quaint place seemed to be in the middle of Kings Bay & Jacksonville so we checked it out & fell in love immediately. we came back this way for our last duty station in 1999 and he retired in 2004. I knew we would call this home so I went to Real Estate School & began a new career in August 1999. For the first time in my life, I knew I had found my calling. I love my job & helping others find the right home, 2nd home or investment. We have two adult sons, and a grandson who love Amelia Island also.
Jackie purchased this Condo in 2005

Loved my stay in this condo!!
This unit was perfect for our girl's trip. The South end of Amelia Island is gorgeous and a quick drive to downtown Fernandina and Jacksonville. Short walk with lovely landscape to the beautiful beach and awesome pool area for soaking up the sun. The unit was spacious, very clean, updated, and filled with cute, beachy decorations. We had endless amounts of fun, laughter, and relaxation at this oceanfront condo!!
Thank you so much for staying at our place! We hope you have more fun filled girls trips in the future!
As always, a comfortable and relaxing stay.
We want you to know how much we enjoyed staying at your lovely Beach Walker condo. This was our second visit and, as before, we appreciate the effort you make to think of the things that will make your guests comfortable. We really like the newly renovated bathrooms.
The condo is clean, linens, beds and furniture are all maintained , and the kitchen is well supplied with lots of cooking utensils and such.
Best of all, it is very peaceful. We always leave well rested.
Thanks for having us,
Thank you Janet! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo and we hope to see you again in the future!
What is there not to love about Amelia Island and this condo. We are return renters. The owner is the Best and we always leave feeling a connection like an old friend. Unit is awesome for families; my husband and I visited with my brother, our daughter and son-in-law and 1 yr old and 4 yr old grandkids. The spacious condo gave everyone their own space when we needed it (for naps and reading) and the family space was a favorite place to hang out. We were in town for the TaxSlayer Bowl game, but I can't say that we went into Jacksonville for anything but the game. Just enjoyed the island pace and the great food. When we asked the four year old the best part of the vacation, it was putting together all the Frozen (Elsa and Anna) puzzles - even the toys were a great touch. Unit has been updated and just couldn't be any more welcoming. We loved it.
A little Disappointed
As a former owner of a similar unit in this same building, I was looking forward to our family visit for the week. We were aware of the age of the building, but we were very pleased with the modern upgrades in this unit. We had two problems that made our stay less than enjoyable. First, the lower level air conditioner didn't work sufficiently to keep that level cool without keeping the level above, which contained the thermostat, too cool. The second problem was the dishwasher, which never worked and from it's appearance, hadn't worked in some time. A repair person was sent and his advice was to set the control "kind of in the middle of two settings." This didn't get us through one washing cycle. In summary, it is a shame that two routine maintenance issues soured all the good things the owner tried to accomplish.
Lovely small town Fernandina offers so much! We have two small theaters, downtown historic district, great beaches, beach volleyball, fishing, History- Ft Clinch State Park, short drive to Jacksonville with many more activities. Must eat at Espana's for Portuguese Tapas & excellent seafood choices, our favorite Local Pizza Joint is Moon River - famous for their White Pizza (900 block of 14th St), wonderful mexican joints - our favorite is Barbarito's for ultra fresh ingredients (Sadler next to Publix & Bealls) as well as Pablo's & Peppers for downtown dining.
