Lodi Hill House Bed and Breakfast (Master bedroom suite with private bathroom)
Jane Lea and Nancy Schmer
Why Jane Lea and Nancy Schmer chose Lodi
The Hill House is the only known home of its age, open to the public, in California to contain the furniture and contents of the family that built it in 1901. Only five members of the Hill family lived here and the last member of the family, Maurice Hill, saved everything from newspaper coverage of the Titanic sinking in 1912 to weekly church bulletins from the First Methodist Church, which the family attended. You are surrounded by history as you enter the Hill House and through out your stay. A one of a kind experience awaits you!
What makes this Bed And Breakfast unique
Hill House was originally built in downtown Lodi and moved to its present location in 1948. Downtown businesses were expanding and many homes were moved to new sites. Hill House was cut into two sections, placed on wheeled carts and rolled down the street (carefully!) to its new home. Upgrades were done, bringing it up to city code. Many original features from 1901 remain and our guests will enjoy unique facets of the house.
