Great Location. We loved the beach and the lake. The house was just the right size. We had 4 adults and 2 kids and everyone fit comfortably. We plan to stay there again.
My family and I stayed at this property for a week this past summer. The cabin was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for my husband and I, 4 kids and the family dog. The kids enjoyed the sandy beach and fishing off the docks. Location was nicely central for all of our day trips to various local beaches and shopping. Nice surprise to find a gas bbq that was not included in the description of the cottage. The day we left all 4 kids were asking when we can come back! We will definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed spending the weekend with family in this cozy cabin. The cabin was nicely maintained and had everything we needed. We woke up to views of the sun glistening through the trees. It was so peaceful. We even spotted some deer running thru the grounds. Great weekend! We will be back!
The location and bones of the house are absolutely lovely. The property was in need of some TLC. The deck was dirty, and unfinished. The heater sounded like a lawn mower running in the house, multiple lights were out and there was a ceiling fan that could not be turned off independently of the light. These issues were bought up to the owner who responded with excuses. It would surprise me if they were fixed before the next renter.
Really enjoyed the cottage and will look into the future booking again
The cottage was very nice however hard to find. Need bigger numbers and needs to be on the front corner or something so you can see it from the road. The lake was nice. The boat situation was not very good. The roads were too narrow and very dangerous when vehicles are coming toward each other. Very hard to turn around and would be complicated if brought our own boat. However it was very peaceful and quiet. Had a great time. The fans were awesome and made a great breeze when needed. The cute little park was fun. The double swing was the coolest swing ever. Great cottage for a family vacation. The lake was clean and beautiful.
Arbutus Lake covers approximately 500 acres and has a maximum water depth of 45 feet. It is part of a 5-lake chain. Fish include bluegill, perch, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass. Area: 6 1/2 miles south from Traverse City just off Garfield Road. The sign is on the left side of road.
Other Activities: Shopping in Downtown Traverse, wine tours, golfing, biking, hiking and more!
