There is a matt for the shower in the closet, I am sorry you didnt see it. Maybe we need to mnake it more visable. It is a great cabin for exploring the area. We hope to see you again soon. Walt

We're sorry your stay did not meet your expectations. We understand how upsetting it is to encounter insects during a vacation, and we appreciate you bringing your concerns to our attention. After your initial report, we immediately contacted our licensed pest control company, who treated the property. When you let us know you had seen additional insects, we arranged for another treatment following your departure to ensure the home was thoroughly serviced again. Looking back, we also recognize that we could have communicated with you more throughout your stay, and for that we sincerely apologize. Even when we are actively addressing an issue behind the scenes, we want our guests to know they are being heard. As with all mountain cabins in the Smokies, occasional insects can make their way indoors despite regular professional pest control. However, we take every report seriously and have continued working with our pest control provider to help minimize the possibility of future occurrences. Cleanliness is extremely important to us, and the condition you described is not consistent with our standards or typical guest experience. We will be addressing this with our cleaning team to ensure everything is being thoroughly checked between stays. We also appreciate your note about not having a broom or dustpan available and will make sure those are added for guest use. Regarding the for-sale sign, the property being listed does not affect guest stays, though I understand how the additional traffic could be frustrating and will take that into consideration moving forward.
